The SSC JHT (Combined Hindi Translators Examination) 2026 Paper-I admit card has been issued and used: Paper-I was held on 8 and 13 September 2026. City details went live on 31 August 2026, and the Admission Certificate followed 2-3 days before each exam date. The next admit card is for Paper-II, the descriptive paper, and only candidates shortlisted in the Paper-I result get it. That result had not been posted on ssc.gov.in as of 27 October 2026.
How did the CHT 2026 Paper-I admit card work?
SSC's Important Notice of 12 August 2026 fixed Paper-I (CBE) for 8 September 2026. The city-intimation notice of 31 August 2026, shared with the Stenographer exam, let candidates check their exam city through the designated login module on ssc.gov.in. The Admission Certificate was then to be available through the same login 2-3 days before each exam date.
Own-scribe candidates had to register their scribe afresh, because SSC had disposed of scribe registrations made before 5 November 2025, and scribe registration is now Aadhaar-linked. For CHT 2026, a corrigendum of 3 September 2026 brought the scribe OTR mapping deadline forward to 4 September 2026 (11:00 PM). No Scribe Entry Pass was generated without that mapping.
Under the CHT 2026 Notice, the time-table and exam city are uploaded about 10 days before the exam. If your details are missing one week before the exam, contact the SSC Regional Office immediately with proof of having applied.
What do you need on exam day?
Carry a printout of the Admission Certificate. Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar-based authentication must report two (02) hours before the exam. They also need at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID with the date of birth printed on the admit card. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN card, Passport, a school or college ID, an employer ID card, and an Ex-serviceman Discharge Book. If your ID has no date of birth, bring an original certificate that shows it; a mismatch means you cannot sit the exam. Scribe users must also carry the medical certificate, undertaking and a photocopy of the scribe's photo ID.
Paper-I runs for 2 hours, with a 1-hour sectional timer each for General Hindi and General English. Scribe-eligible candidates get 2 hours and 40 minutes, with 1 hour 20 minutes per part. Carrying a mobile phone, Bluetooth device or other gadget can bring a debarment of 03 to 05 years. SSC also checks every exam afterwards through log analysis, photograph and biometric verification, and CCTV footage.
Paper-II admit card and answer-book rules
Paper-II (Translation and Essay) has its own Admission Certificate and lasts 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates). In the Paper-II answer book, write your Roll Number on the cover page and sign and put your left-hand thumb impression in the relevant columns. A book without these gets zero marks. Writing your name, roll number, mobile number or address inside the answer book is treated as unfair means and also gets zero.
In the last two cycles the Paper-II admit card worked like this:
- CHT 2025: city details went live on 4 December 2025. Own scribes had to be mapped by 10 December 2025, with a maximum scribe age of 22 years. The admit card was due 2-3 days before the exam on 14 December 2025.
- CHT 2024: city details came on 19 March 2025 and the admit card from 27 March 2025, for the exam on 29 March 2025. SSC said the invigilator would retain the Admission Certificate, so candidates should keep a copy.
PST call letter for CRPF Sub-Inspector (CHT 2025)
The CHT 2025 cycle included Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF, which has a Physical Standard Test. Candidates shortlisted from Paper-II downloaded the PST call letter from SSC (Eastern Region)'s website, www.sscer.org, from 7 August 2026. The PST was scheduled for 17 August 2026. Those who qualified were to undergo document verification and medical examination on the following days, which could extend up to one week.
