- 20 Aug 2026 · ssc.gov.in SSC IMPORTANT NOTICE: Schedule of PET/PST for MTS (NT) and Havaldar Examination 2025 PDF
The SSC MTS 2025 admit cards have already been used: the Computer Based Examination (CBE) ran from 4 to 20 February 2026, and the Havaldar PET/PST was scheduled by CBIC for 24 to 31 August 2026. The next step SSC has announced is the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for MTS and Havaldar together, after the PET/PST.
How was the SSC MTS 2025 CBE admit card issued?
- Self-slot selection: candidates logged in to the candidate portal from 16.01.2026 to 25.01.2026 (11:00 PM) to choose their exam city and block of dates. Anyone who missed it could confirm willingness to appear through the Feedback Module by 28.01.2026 (11:00 PM). For candidates who did neither, SSC's 16 January 2026 notice said the Admission Certificate will not be generated.
- Exam city: made live on 30 January 2026 in the designated login module on ssc.gov.in, under the city-intimation notice of 30 January 2026.
- Admission Certificate and Scribe Entry Pass: tentatively downloadable 02/03 days before each candidate's exam date, from the same login.
Own-scribe candidates had to map their scribe's OTR by 02.02.2026 (11 pm); the Scribe Entry Pass was generated only for those who did so. The timing has changed between cycles. The MTS 2025 Notice promised admit cards about 2-3 days before the exam on the Commission's website, while the MTS 2024 notice had said about 3-7 days before, on the website of the Regional Office concerned.
What to check, and what to do if something is wrong
Under para 15.4 of the notice, the time table and exam city go up about 10 days before the exam. If you cannot find your details one week before your exam date, contact the SSC Regional Office concerned at once with proof that you applied; otherwise you lose any claim. Any letter to SSC must carry your Registration-ID, registered Email-ID and Mobile Number, plus your name, date of birth and the exam name.
If you have not completed Aadhaar Based Authentication, check that the date of birth on the Admission Certificate matches your photo ID. If they differ, you will not be allowed to appear. This rule does not apply to Aadhaar-authenticated candidates.
SSC MTS exam-day rules
- Candidates without Aadhaar Based Authentication report two (02) hours before the exam starts, carrying the Admission Certificate, at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID.
- Accepted IDs include the Voter's ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, University/College/School ID card, Government or PSU employer ID card and the Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book.
- If the ID has no date of birth, also carry an original proof such as the Matriculation Certificate or Birth Certificate.
- Scribe users must also carry the required Medical Certificate, Undertaking and a photocopy of the scribe's photo ID.
- Session-I and Session-II are held on the same day and both are mandatory. Session-II starts immediately after the 45 minutes of Session-I.
- Possession of a mobile phone, Bluetooth device, spy camera or any electronic gadget in the hall carries debarment of 03-05 Years.
Havaldar PET/PST admission certificate
Only Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) candidates take this stage. SSC's notice of 20 August 2026 said CBIC would hold the PET/PST at its centres across the country from 24.08.2026 to 31.08.2026. Admission certificates were issued by the respective Regional Office of the Commission before that schedule. The standards are walking 1600 metres in 15 minutes for men and 1 km in 20 minutes for women. Men need a height of 157.5 cms and a chest of 81 cms fully expanded, with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Women need a height of 152 cms and a weight of 48 kg, with relaxations for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and Scheduled Tribes. Candidates claiming a relaxation must bring the documents to the PET/PST.
On 7 October 2026 SSC shortlisted 542 more candidates for the Havaldar PET/PST. This followed partial relief granted by the CAT-PB to candidates whose results had first been held back for suspected malpractice. All 542 have been kept withheld, and 15 others were placed in sealed cover pending police investigation.
