AP TET Cut Off

AP TET has a fixed qualifying bar, not a year-wise cut off. Because it is a qualifying test rather than a competitive one, there is no category-wise merit cut off that changes each year — the mark you need to pass is set in the rules and stays the same.

Qualifying marks

Each paper carries 150 marks. A candidate is treated as having passed AP TET on scoring:

CommunityQualifying %Qualifying marks (of 150)
OC / EWS60% and above90
BC50% and above75
SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen40% and above60

What the qualifying mark does and does not do

Crossing the qualifying mark makes you AP TET pass and gives you a qualifying certificate valid for teacher recruitment in Andhra Pradesh. It does not, by itself, secure a post — recruitment is a separate process. In that later process the actual AP TET score can carry weight, so a mark comfortably above the qualifying bar is worth aiming for even though the bar itself is fixed.
