The next AP TET result due is the Special TET for in-service teachers, scheduled for 15 November 2026; for the AP TET June 2026 exam the department's schedule set final results for 15 September 2026. The actual declaration date of the June result is shown in the Important Dates table above. Marks memos and certificates are issued only on the AP TET website.
How the AP TET result is issued
- AP TET is a qualifying test with one stage. The result is a marks memo showing your marks in each paper you sat, against fixed pass marks out of 150.
- For both the June 2026 exam and the Special TET, which ran in many shifts, marks are normalised across shifts using the formula in the information bulletin, worked to 5 decimal places.
- The marks memo and certificate are made available on the APTET website only, in digital format, issued by the Joint Director, TET and Member Convener. Certificates are also placed in DigiLocker after the results.
What the certificate shows
Under the bulletin, the certificate carries your name and address, registration number, year and month of award, the marks in each paper, the class level it is valid for (classes I to V or VI to VIII) and, for classes VI to VIII, the subject area. It is generated electronically with security features.
Pass marks
OC/EWS candidates need 60% and above (90 marks), BC candidates 50% and above (75 marks), and SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen 40% and above (60 marks). A disability certificate used to sit the test does not by itself carry over to recruitment: the candidate must produce a certificate validated by the Medical Board at that stage.
How long the certificate is valid
The APTET certificate is valid for life under the NCTE guidelines of 9 June 2021, as adopted by G.O.Ms.No.69 dated 25 October 2021, and certificates obtained before 9 June 2021 are also valid for life. There is no limit on attempts, and a qualified candidate may sit again to improve the score.
What the result is used for
- Regular AP TET: the score carries a 20% weightage in the State Government's Teacher Recruitment Test, with 80% from the written test. Qualifying alone gives no right to a post. The DSC-2026 brief notification for 2,721 posts was issued on 13 October 2026, with the detailed notification due on or before 3 November 2026.
- Special TET for in-service teachers: a pass counts only for the mandatory TET condition for continuing in the present post or promotion, as ordered by the Supreme Court on 1 September 2025 in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025. It cannot be used for direct recruitment; for that, candidates must take the regular APTET or CTET.
