GTET Exam Pattern & Syllabus
GTET consists of two papers, each of 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, four options per question with one correct answer, one mark each and no negative marking. The duration is two and a half hours per paper. The question paper is in English, except Language II, which is in the chosen language.

Language and standard
English is Language I; for Language II a candidate chooses either Konkani or Marathi. Child Development and Pedagogy tests the educational psychology of teaching and learning for the relevant age group (6–11 years for Paper I, 11–14 for Paper II). The subject sections follow the SCERT syllabus for the classes concerned, though the difficulty may extend up to the Secondary or Senior Secondary stage.
