HTET Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Each HTET level is a single paper of 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, one mark each, with no negative marking, over 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions are bilingual (Hindi and English), except for language-subject questions. Three parts are common to all three levels; the remaining parts are the level's teaching content.

Standard and syllabus
Child Development and Pedagogy tests the educational psychology of teaching and learning for the relevant age group. The General Studies part is distinctive to HTET and includes quantitative aptitude, reasoning and general knowledge with a Haryana focus. The subject parts follow the level's teaching syllabus.
