JHTET Admit Card 2026: Download, 1 November Exam Day Rules

The JHTET 2026 admit card is out: the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) opened downloads from 15 October 2026 for the examination on Sunday, 1 November 2026. JAC fixed this schedule in Notice 62/2026, dated 28 September 2026, issued in line with an interim order of the Jharkhand High Court in contempt case No. 783/2026. No admit card is sent by post or any other means.

Where do I download the JHTET 2026 admit card?

Notice 62/2026 directs candidates to download the admit card from the council's website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in. JAC's JHTET 2026 page there links the exam portal, jactetonline.com, which now shows a "Download JHTET 2026 ADMIT CARD" panel for registered candidates.

• Log in with your Registration No. and Password; the portal has separate "Forgot Password?" and "Forgot Registration Number?" links.
• Use a desktop or laptop. JAC says the JHTET 2026 portal must not be opened on Android or iPhone browsers, even in "Desktop Mode", and it will not be responsible for problems reported from phones.

Which level is in which shift on 1 November 2026?

Each level is one composite OMR-based paper of 2 hours 30 minutes, with no negative marking.

Reporting time, gate closing and what to carry

• Reaching the centre two hours before the paper begins is compulsory.
• The main gate of the centre is shut 30 minutes before the start of each shift.
• Carry the admit card with an identity card — the Aadhaar card, in original.
• Electronic devices of any kind are barred from the centre.
• On the OMR sheet, darken each answer circle fully in black or blue; an answer not darkened correctly is not checked. Tampering with the OMR, entering wrong information or using the wrong OMR cancels the candidature.

JAC says all instructions on the conduct of the test will be available only on its official website, and breaking them will cancel the candidate's eligibility. Under rule 17 of the Jharkhand TET Rules, 2026, a candidate charged with malpractice can be barred from the next two eligibility tests.

Extra time and scribe for candidates with disabilities

Visually impaired candidates, candidates with cerebral palsy and candidates with both hands affected get 30 minutes of extra time and may have a scribe, on two conditions in Notice 62/2026:

• Before the exam date, submit an application with a disability certificate (showing the percentage) from the Civil Surgeon or District Surgeon at the office of your District Education Officer.
• The District Education Officer authorises as scribe a student studying at most in Class IX, and informs the centre superintendent and JAC.

Details wrong on the admit card?

JAC builds the admit card, the result and the certificate from what you entered in the online form, and Advertisement 24/2026 says no request to amend those entries will be accepted later or after the result. The correction round for name, father's and mother's names, date of birth, address and subject ran online from 20 to 31 August 2026 (Notice 57/2026) and was declared final; category and level could not be changed in it because they affect the fee. Those had to be fixed earlier by cancelling and re-filling the form by 20 July 2026 (Web Notice 29/2026). For portal problems, the JHTET portal lists a toll-free number, 1800 345 6523, and the e-mail [email protected] for registration and application queries.

Jharkhand TET admit card release in past cycles

When Advertisement 24/2026 was published on 28 March 2026, JAC said only that the admit-card download date and exam date would be announced later; the dates were fixed in Notice 62/2026.
