TNTET Syllabus

The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) is consist of two papers namely, the paper I and paper II. Paper I is for the candidates who want to be a tecaher of class I to V and Paper – II is for the candidates who want to be tecaher of class- VI to VIII. Child Development and pedagogy: Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning (age group of 6 – 11 years(Paper -I) and age group of 11- 14 Years (Paper – II)).

Language I: The candidates have to choose any one language mentioned in the Paper-I exam pattern.

Language II English: Elements of language, Communication and Comprehension abilities.

Mathematics and Environmental Studies: Problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding.

How to Prepare for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test?

Before preparing for the exam candidate should go through the exam pattern and syllabus first. Candidate can follow the below-mentioned preparation tips for doing the examination preparation-

  • Candidate should prepare timetable first for the proper time management.
  • Candidate should make their own subjectwise notes for making the study easier and for time-saving also.
  • Candidate should give Mock Tests. By giving the Mock Tests candidate confidence get increase and he/she can also estimate that in which section he/she is losing marks.
  • Revision is also an important part of the preparation candidate should daily revise the prepared subject.
  • Candidate preparing for mathematics subject should use pen-paper for solving the question. Candidate should not solve the numeric part in their mind.
