About TNTET
Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board conducts Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) exam every year. This test is held statewide as an eligibility test for candidates who wish to teach lower and primary level classes. Those who qualify TNTET Paper I or Paper II will be considered eligible to teach in public/private/aided schools within the state of Tamil Nadu. The TNTET exam is conducted in two papers namely Paper I and Paper II. Candidates belonging to general category need a minimum of 60% marks and those candidates who belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWDr categories will get a 5% relaxation i.e., they need a minimum of 55% marks to qualify.
