UPPSC PCS 2021: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPSSC) has concluded the application procedure for UPPSC PCS 2021. However, a List of Candidates whose Application Forms are in Objected Status has been released. Also, the new notification for UPPSC PCS 2021 is also out on the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in. This year, the UPPSC has announced 416 vacancies for PCS. The recruitment process consists of the preliminary exam (Objective Type), main exam (Descriptive Type), oral test, and personal interview. Read the eligibility criteria for UPPSC PCS examination from below.

AGE LIMIT: The candidate must be between the age group of 21 to 40 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

Age Relaxation: The PwD candidate must not have been of age of 55 years as on July 1, 2021.

UPPSC PCS Application Form 2021

The application form for the UPPSC PCS 2021 releases in online mode only. Candidates can fill the application form through the official website of UPPSC. Keep the images of the passport size photo and signature to upload during the application form. Candidates have to fill the separate application form for the preliminary exam, for the main exam and for the personal interview. The application fee shall only be submitted through online mode and offline mode. Online processing fee of Rs. 25 is added to the application fee. Below are the application fee based on the type of the exam and category of the candidate:

Exam Pattern of UPPSC PCS 2021

Know about the UPPSC PCS 2021 exam through its exam pattern which is written below:

(i) Preliminary Exam:

Mode of Exam: The exam is a pen-paper test (OMR based).
Language: The question paper is in bilingual language i.e. in Hindi and English Language.
No. of Papers: There are 2 papers: paper 1 and paper 2.
Duration: Each of the exams is of 2 hours. The timings of paper-1 are 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. and for the Paper-2 are 2.30 to 4.30 p.m.
No. of Questions: There are 150 and 100 questions respectively in the question paper.
Type of Questions: The question paper have objective type questions only.
Marking Scheme: There is negative marking of 1/3rd marks of the total marks of the question paper.
Total Marks: The question paper carries 200 marks for every paper.

(ii) Main Exam:

UPPSC PCS Admit Card 2021

The admit card for all the stages of the selection procedure releases separately. The candidates can use their registration number and date of birth to download their admit card. Aspirants can download the admit card from the official website only. Candidates are not allowed inside the exam centre without the UPPSC PCS admit card. The candidate is notified about the release of the admit card through SMS or mail. The admit card contains information about the date, time and centre of the exam and the candidates can know the full address of the exam centre through the admit card only.

Answer Key of UPPSC PCS 2021

The answer key of the UPPSC PCS 2021 releases on the official website of UPPSC. Uttar Pradesh PSC releases the answer key in PDF format. As the mains examination is a conventional type, only prelims answers key is uploaded by the conducting body. Candidates can use the answer key to know the marks that they would probably score in the exam. The response sheet of all the candidates is evaluated as per the official answer key. Candidates must follow the marking scheme to use the answer key. For every wrong answer in the preliminary exam, 1/3rd marks are deducted from the total marks.

Selection Procedure of UPPSC PCS 2021

The selection procedure for the UPPSC PCS 2021 is given as following:

  1. Preliminary Exam: This stage os selection procedure is qualifying in nature. Marks for this round are required in the calculation of the result. The preliminary exam consists of 2 papers of 200 marks each. Candidates are selected in a ratio of 13 times of the total no. of vacancies for the main exam. Candidates must have 33% or more marks to be considered for the merit list.
  2. Main Exam: The candidates who clear prelims for main have to fill the application form of the main exam. The main exam has 6 compulsory papers and 2 optional papers of the same subject. The candidates are shortlisted in a ratio of 2 times the total number of vacancies for the physical test.
  3. Interview Round – The last round of selection procedure is the interview round. This round is conducted for a total of 100 marks. Candidates are asked questions related to the academic interest, general awareness, intelligence, personality and suitability for the service.

Candidates who are able to qualify each round of selection procedure are appointed for the advertised post after medical examination. This round is conducted to test the physical and mental health of the candidate.

Result of UPPSC PCS 2021

Uttar Pradesh PSC declares Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination online. Candidates can check their UPPSC PCS exam result through uppsc.up.nic.in. The result releases in merit list format in which the name and roll no. of all the candidates who cleared the stage of the recruitment process are listed. The UPPSC PCS Result merit list releases separately for all the stages of the selection process. The final merit list is prepared based on the main exam and interview round.

Cut-Off: The cut-off of the preliminary and main exam is decided to be 40% for all the candidates and 35% for the SC and ST candidates. However, the minimum qualifying marks of the Paper-2 of the preliminary exam is decided to 33% for all the candidates.
