Selection Procedure
The selection process for the post of Forest Guard will be decided based on the following basis. The selection process is a multi level selection process. There will be written tests, Physical standard test, physical efficiency test and personality tests etc. there will be individual marks for all the steps. The candidate will be evaluated based on their performance in all the three stages.
Let us look at the steps included in the selection process
Written Test:-
West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will conduct a written test for which the date is not available yet. The exam will be pen paper based. You will get 90 questions of 90 marks. With only 1 hour to complete the task.
Physical Standard & Physical Efficiency Test:-
A limited number of candidates will be called for the physical standard test. The PST test will be followed by the Physical Efficiency Test.
(I) Physical Standard Test (PST): – Candidates will have to go through a PST test. The Height of the candidates will be measured by Electronic Machines here. The measurement requirements are already discussed above. The candidates who will qualify in PST will take part in PET.
(II) Physical Efficiency Test (PET):-
After the PST test, the candidate will move on to the next session i.e PET. the Physical Efficiency Test is designed to measure the candidate activeness. PET will require the participants to complete the tasks as follows:-
- For Male: – 25 kilometres walk within 4 hours.
- For Female:- 16 kilometres walk within 4 hours.
Personality Test
There will be 10 marks for this test. Written exam, PST & PET qualified candidates will be called for Personality Test. Here, the candidates will be tested for the general awareness and their suitability for public service. It will be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board at the venue. The venue for the PT will be decided later.
Final Selection
Candidates who will satisfy/qualify all the eligibility criteria mentioned above and qualify these tests accordingly will be considered for final selection on the aggregate marks obtained in the written examination and the personality test.
