WB Forest Guard 2017 – West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) was conducting the selection process for WB Forest Guard 2017 -18 recruitment. Initially the exam was scheduled to be held on 27 August 2017, however, due to flood situation, new WB Forest Guard 2017 exam date rescheduled to 10 September 2017. Although exam date has changed, time and venue remain same. Candidates brought officially issued WB Forest Guard Admit Card 2017 that has been issued from 12 August 2017. Also, WB Forest Guard Result 2018 announced to identify selected candidates.

WB Forest Guard 2017 Written Exam Pattern
Scheme – It is a paper based test. There will be a qualifying Competitive Written Examination for candidates considered eligible provisionally which will carry 90 marks in total for 90 questions of 1 mark each. The Written Examination shall be completed in 60 minutes. The questions will constitute topics from the above-mentioned subjects:-
There will be NEGATIVE MARKING of the ¼th mark for every incorrect answer.
WB Forest Guard 2017 Result
The selection process is a multi level selection process. There will be written tests, Physical standard test, physical efficiency test and personality tests etc. there will be individual marks for all the steps. The candidate will be evaluated based on their performance in all the three stages. Let us look at the steps included in the selection process
Written Test
West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will conduct a written test for which the date is not available yet. The exam will be pen paper based. You will get 90 questions of 90 marks. With only 1 hour to complete the task.
Physical Standard & Physical Efficiency Test
A limited number of candidates will be called for the physical standard test. The PST test will be followed by the Physical Efficiency Test.
(I) Physical Standard Test (PST): – Candidates will have to go through a PST test. The Height of the candidates will be measured by Electronic Machines here. The measurement requirements are already discussed above. The candidates who will qualify in PST will take part in PET.
(II) Physical Efficiency Test (PET):- After the PST test, the candidate will move on to the next session i.e PET. the Physical Efficiency Test is designed to measure the candidate activeness. PET will require the participants to complete the tasks as follows:-
- For Male: – 25 kilometres walk within 4 hours.
- For Female:- 16 kilometres walk within 4 hours.
Personality Test
There will be 10 marks for this test. Written exam, PST & PET qualified candidates will be called for Personality Test. Here, the candidates will be tested for the general awareness and their suitability for public service. It will be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board at the venue. The venue for the PT will be decided later
Final Selection
Candidates who will satisfy/qualify all the eligibility criteria mentioned above and qualify these tests accordingly will be considered for final selection on the aggregate marks obtained in the written examination and the personality test.
WB Forest Guard 2017 Application form
Interested candidates reach the site at policewb.gov.in to apply online and reach the tathya Mitra Kendra to apply in offline mode. The application will be completed in 5 steps. The first step is to fill the basic details containing the spaces for name, fathers name, mothers name, etc. the second step is to fill the communication details. Here you will be required to mention the address for communication and complete mailing address. The candidates will then move to third step i.e uploading photographs and signature images. Once you have uploaded the scanned images, the candidate will now move to preview their application content. If you find any error here, immediately correct here as you will not get the chance to edit or modify your application form after 19 May 2017. Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: – Applicant must be a Citizen of India.
Age: – Age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years as on 01 January 2017. candidates belonging to the categories of Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Backward classes and Ex-servicemen are entitled to upper age relaxation as per existing orders/rules of The government of West Bengal.
Educational Qualification: – candidates possessing Madhyamik Examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education are eligible to apply or the candidates who have its equivalent education from any recognised institution by the State Government or Central Government
