WB SSC Age Limit – Between 18 years to 40 years.

WB SSC Educational Qualifications

  • For Clerk post – Passed School Final/Madhyamik or its equivalent.
  • Group-D Staff post – Passed Class VIII

WB SSC Selection Process – Selection to the posts of the Clerk & Group D Staff shall be made strictly on the basis of merit.

WB SSC Application Fee

  • Clerk – Rs. 140 for Gen / OBC & Rs. 70 for SC / ST / PH (Rs. 5 bank charges)
  • Group D Staff – 120 for Gen / OBC & Rs. 60 for SC / ST / PH (Rs. 5 bank charges)

WB SSC Application Form 2016

Candidates can apply online by accessing the official website of The West Bengal School Service Commission (i.e. www.westbengalssc.com) and then feeding his/her personal and educational information as required by the commission and finally he/she will get Bank Challan (Cash Challan) of Allahabad Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For Clerk Post – Passed School Final/Madhyamik or its equivalent or Old H.S. in lieu of School Final/Madhyamik or its equivalent.
  • For Group-D Staf Post – Passed Class VIII from any School recognize or affiliated by Board/Council or equivalent.

WB SSC Admit Card 2016

Admit card of the said RLST will be available on the official website (www.westbengalssc.com). Candidates are requested to download the same. Date will be announced in due course.

West Bengal SSC Syllabus for Group C Clerk Written Examination

A. General Knowledge – 15

Questions will be designed to test the candidates General Knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society.

B. Current Affairs – 15

Questions will be designed to test Knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience. The Test will also include questions relating to India and other countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Literature, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, Polity, Indian Constitution and Scientific research etc.

C. General English – 15

Candidates understanding of the fundamentals of the English language such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would be tested.

D. Arithmetic – 15

Questions of this component will cover number system including questions on simplification, decimals, Recurring Decimals, Divisibility, fractions LCM, HCF, Partnership, Average, Ratio and proportions, percentage, profit and loss, discount, simple interest, time and work, time and distance.

A. General Knowledge – 15

WB SSC Result 2016

Candidates who have filled their Application form and have appeared in the exam can chek their Result from above Result Link after the successful conduction of Examination. Candidates qualified in the written examination will be called for personality test.

Selection Process

For Clerk Post – Selection to the posts of the Clerk shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. The merit will be determined by the results of the Regional Level Selection Test comprising written examination (MCQ Type), and evaluation of academic qualifications and Personality Tests with Typing and Computer Proficiency of the candidates in the manner.

For Group D Staff Post – Selection to the posts of the Group D Staff shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. The merit will be determined by the results of the Regional Level Selection Test comprising written examination (MCQ Type) and personality test of the candidates in the manner.
