AP Grama Volunteer Notification 2020: Andhra Pradesh Government has announced the vacancies for Andhra Pradesh Grama Volunteer 2020 recruitment for Grama/Village Volunteers and Ward Volunteers in various districts. There are a total of 265 vacancies for Grama/ Ward Volunteer (Nellore), 58 in Srikakulam District, 225 in Prakasam District, 239 in Guntur district and 293 vacancies for Grama/ Ward Volunteer (Chittoor). Candidates who have passed class 10th are eligible to apply for the AP Grama Volunteer 2020 recruitment. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview by the selection committee. AP Grama Volunteer Notification 2020
Andhra Pradesh governmet is hiring volunteers at ward level and village level to ensure that the programmes and schemes launched by the government are implemented efficietly in the areas. Though the job role is of a volunteer but Andhra Pradesh government is providing the honorarium (salary/stipend) of Rs 5000 to the selected candidates, on monthly basis. AP Grama Volunteer Apply Online 2020
Application form for AP Grama Volunteer 2020 is available on gramavolunteer.ap.gov.in. Candidates can directly visit the website and fill the form online. While filling the form, candidates should fill their details carefully, by giving the correct information. Avoid giving the details of fake qualifications and education as it may lead to severe consequences.
Eligibility Criteria for AP Grama Volunteer 2020
Andhra Pradesh government has set the eligibility criteria specifically for village volunteers and urban volunteers. Details of the same are as follows:
- Candidates applying for Village volunteer position should belong to that particular Panchayat/Village from where they are applying.
- Those who are applying for Ward volunteer should belong to the speciffic Urban Local Body (ULB) they are applying from
Educational Qualifications: It is mandatory for the candidates aspiring for the position of Village Volunteer and Ward Volunteer to have the passing certificate of class 10th or equivalent qualification at the time of applying for the job. Detail bifurcation is given below:

Age: Applicants should be 18 years of age at the time of applying on 01 January 2020 and should not have exceeded the age limit of 35 years for both the posts i.e village volunteer and ward volunteer.
Reservation for AP Grama Volunteer 2020
Reservation of ward and village volunteer is as follows:
Reservation for Ward Volunteers: Rule of reservation for ward volunteer post is as per the rules mentioned in vogue. In each category, 50% posts are reserved for women. Rule of reservation are applicable keeping in mind the ULB area as the unit. If in case, there is no candidate in a particular category, who is available for ULB, then the district might be taken as a unit.
Reservation for Village Volunteers: Rule of reservation for village volunteer is as per the vogue rules. 50% of each category’s post is considered for female candidates. If the vacancy arises, due to the non-availability of any community then such posts will be filled by other communities that are available. Rule of the reservation is first fixed keeping taking mandalas the unit first. If candidates are not available in particular Mandal then-District is taken as a unit. The case is different when it comes to the scheduled tribe areas, in this case only ST candidates are appointed. If the ST candidate is not avalable in one area, then another ST candidate from another area will be hired.
Selection Method for AP Grama Volunteer 2020
Once the candidate has shown it’s eligibility and filled the application form then the procedure of selection started. The selection procedure for Ward volunteer and Village volunteer are given below in detail.
In the case of Panchayats: The Selection Committee comprising EO (PR & RD)/Tahsildar/MPDO will call the eligible candidates who are called for the interview. Candidates who will get selected as the Village volunteers will get their appointment letters from the Chairman of the Selection Committee, which is MPDO.
In case of Urban Local Bodies: The Selection Committee will shortlist the candidates and call the eligible candidates for the interview. Selection Committee comprises of MEPMA, PO / TMC, Tahasildar, and Municipal Commissioner. Chairman of the Selection Committee who is the Municipal Commissioner will issue the appointment letter to the selected Ward Volunteers. Those candidates who are from the same ward will get the preference. Most eligible and suitable candidates will be selected by the interview board on the basis of following parameters:
All the four parameters mentioned below carries 25 marks each, which makes a total of 100 marks. result of the candidates will be prepared out of 100 marks.
- Candidate should have complete knowledge of various Government Programs, Schemes and welfare activities.
- She/He should have the previous experience of working in NGOs/Federations/Welfare Departments and programs/Social activities.
- Desirable candidate should have good communication skills, leadership qualities as well as general awareness.
- Candidate should also have good soft skills
Training and Positioning of AP Grama Volunteer 2020
Training and positioning of the selected candidates will be done after their appointment. Candidates who are selected as Village volunteer and Ward volunteer two days of induction training. Induction training of Village volunteers will be held at Mandal level, whereas Ward volunteers will be trained at the ULB level. Once the training is done, positioning of the candidates of both Ward volunteers, as well as Village volunteers, will be done in the respective villages and ULBs.
Review Mechanism and Performance Appraisal
Performance of the candidates appointed as the Village and Ward volunteer will be monitored carefully and they will be given appraisals. Provision of review mechanics and performance appraisal for ward and village volunteers are:
Ward Volunteer: Performance of the Ward volunteers is monitored by the Municipal Commissioner, at regular intervals. District Collector as Chairman is responsible for the performance appraisal of ward volunteers at the district level.
Village Volunteer: Competent authorities will monitor the performance of the Village volunteers. Panchayat Secretary at village level and MPDO at Mandal level will also monitor the performance of Village volunteers. District Collector is responsible for the appraisals of Village volunteers.
AP Grama Volunteer 2020 Discharge Provision
Any Village volunteer or Ward volunteer, who is not been able to perform well and provide the services in satisfactorily manner will be discharged from her/his duties. Decision to discharge the Village or Ward volunteer is taken by the appointing authorities. At the time of discharge, authorities ensured that there are no dues left at the Local Body or Government side of the candidate.
