The SBI PO 2026 Preliminary and Main call letters have done their job; the stage now open is Phase-III, for candidates shortlisted in the Main result of 14 October 2026. SBI's notice gives tentative dates of 31 October 2026 for the psychometric test and 18 November 2026 onwards for group exercise and interviews, and says call letters with the exact date and time "will be released shortly".
SBI PO psychometric test 2026: no admit card, an emailed link
The psychometric test is not held at an exam centre. SBI's important notice of 27 October 2026 says it will be conducted online in Remote Proctored (RPA) mode, and you can take it from anywhere. The test link and your user credentials have been sent to your registered email ID, with an SMS alert, and the notice asks shortlisted candidates to check their email for these details. The test starts at 1 PM on 31 October 2026, and you should be set up and ready at least 15 minutes before. A mock test link will be open from 10.00 AM to 05.00 PM on 28 October 2026.
Do not skip it: appearing in the psychometric test is mandatory, and only those who appear are allowed into the group exercise and personal interview. Its findings are placed before the interview panel.
How to download the SBI PO call letter
Under the CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 advertisement, every call letter in this recruitment (Pre-exam Training, Preliminary, Main, Psychometric Test and Group Exercise & Interview) and the "acquaint yourself booklet" are downloaded from SBI's careers website by entering your registration number and password or date of birth. No hard copy is sent by post. If you have trouble receiving a call letter, the advertisement directs you to lodge a query on cgrs.ibps.in.
Documents for the group exercise and interview
- Original documents for eligibility, your caste certificate in the Government of India format and proof of date of birth; you will not be allowed to attend the interview without the originals.
- OBC candidates: a non-creamy-layer certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and the date of interview. EWS candidates: an Income & Asset Certificate based on income for financial year 2025-26.
- Candidates working in government, public sector undertakings or banks: a No Objection Certificate from the employer.
Exam-day rules SBI applied in the written phases
For the Preliminary, the acquaint-yourself booklet required the call letter with your photograph affixed, two additional photographs, and an original photo ID with a photocopy; without any of these you were not admitted. Candidates had to bring glue and an ink stamp pad for the left thumb impression, follow the reporting time printed on the call letter (late comers were not allowed), and sign in normal script, because signatures in capital letters are not accepted. Calculators, cell phones, books and notes were banned, and registration at the venue was done by photo capture. The Preliminary call letter was stamped and returned, and had to be brought to the Main with the Main call letter. SBI advises keeping 8 copies of your photograph for later stages and may run online Aadhaar verification at different stages.
SBI PO admit card release in past cycles
SBI's careers pages do not show a release date against call-letter links, so the second column gives the window stated in each advertisement.
