Steps to check the BPSC Main Exam Result 2017
- Visit the site at bpsc.bih.nic.in or click here
- Now on the homepage, find the link for 29th Bihar Judicial Services(Main) competitive Examination
- The result will be displayed in pdf format.
- Check your roll number in the list.
- If your roll number features in the list, it means that you have cleared the exam.
Documents to carry on the day of interview
After the candidates have passed the Main exam thy will be called for the interview to be conducted personally by the officials. All the candidates can download the call letters for the interview. The call letters will be available for download from the official website. The candidate must check the venue date and time allotted for them. They must visit the interview centre on the prescribed date and at the prescribed slot. It is better to be present at the centre 30 minutes prior the time as there might be any formalities before beginning the interview. The candidates will get enough time to complete the proceedings if they are in time. The candidates must carry all the original documents at the time of the interview.

Selection Procedure for BPSC Main Exam
The entire recruitment process will be completed in three steps.
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
Preliminary Examination: the paper consists of objective type questions. It is of qualifying in nature. The applicants will get multiple choices and out of them, they have to select the correct answer. There will be 150 questions in total , one mark each. The total marks assigned to this exam is 150. The examination will be of two hours.
The paper here is divided into two sections syllabus wise.
The first five subjects that are General Knowledge including current affairs, Elementary General Science,General Hindi, General English and Law of Evidence and procedure. These subjects are compulsory and among which General Hindi and General English are of qualifying nature. The candidates need to attain at least 30% in both these papers. The next section also contains five subjects
Constitutional and administrative law of India/ Hindu law and Mohammedan Law/ Transfer of property Law, principles of Equity, law of trusts and specific relief/ Law of contracts and torts and Commercial law.
In all these papers the candidates need to get 35% marks to pass the exam.The total marks assigned to the written examination is 1200 marks.
In the last step the candidate will be called for the personal interview round. Merely securing a position in main exam does not guarantee a position. The candidate will get a position only after satisfying the officials in this round.
