Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, the interested candidates, who are willing to appear for the online examination, must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the Bank as given below:
Nationality/Citizenship – The candidates need to be a citizen of India, a citizen of India, a citizen of Nepal, a citizen of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
Note – Other than an Indian Citizen, all the other candidates need to submit their certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit – The candidate must be minimum 21 years of age and maximum 35 years of age. The relaxation given to reserved candidates is as follows:
- For SC/ST – 5 years
- For Other Backward Classes – 3 years
- For Person With Disability – 10 years
- For Ex-servicemen, Commissioned Officers – 5 years
- For Employees of Corporation Bank – 3 years
- For Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of the Jammu & Kashmir during the period January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989 – 5 years

Selection Process
The selection procedure for the Corporation Bank SO Recruitment 2017 will consist of two stages i.e. Online Written Examination and Interview. All the interested candidates need to go through a procedure which is as follows:
- Firstly, the candidates need to appear for the Online Written Examination including the four tests i.e. Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Professional Knowledge.
- Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each of the tests as well as on the Total which will be considered to be called for the next stage i.e. Group Discussion/or Interview.
- As per the vacancies and the high scores obtained in the written examination, the candidates will be called for the Group Discussion and/or Interview.
- Candidates need to qualify written examination as well as the Group Discussion and/or Interview for being considered for the appointment in the vacancies announced.
Application Process
Eligible candidates need to fill the application form which is already available on the official website of the Bank i.e. corpbank.com. Candidates can apply online as per the scheduled dates only. Candidates must ensure that the application form should be filled completely and correctly. Candidates will have to fill the details in the application form such as name, date of birth, category, exam centre, uploading the photograph and signature and lastly, have to pay the application fees which is Rs. 600/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD). After the successful payment, the candidates will receive an e-receipt and are required to take a printout of the e-receipt. As the application is going on, therefore, the interested candidates need to hurry up and must apply online before the last date.
Exam Pattern
Candidates appearing for the examination need to go through exam pattern prescribed by the Bank for the recruitment process of the concerned post. The exam pattern for both the stages i.e. Online Written Examination and Group Discussion/or Interview is as follows:
Online Written Examination
The structure for the online written examination is as follows:

- The questions in the tests will be Objective-type questions
- There will be negative marking for the wrong answers i.e. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each question.
Group Discussion/or Interview
This stage will be conducted for the candidates who will qualify the online written examination. The GD/or Interview will carry 100 marks. Candidates will need 40 marks (35 marks for SC/ST/OBC) to qualify this stage.
Admit Card/Call Letter
After the successful application, the candidates will get their admit card for the examination. Candidates will have to download the Admit Card for the Online Written Examination through online mode from the official website of the Bank. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent to the candidates. The admit card will contain the information regarding the examination such as exam date, timings, centre etc.
The qualified candidates of the written examination will get their Admit Card for the Interview by email. Candidates will have to carry the admit card along with the important documents at the examination as without it the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
Declaration of Result
The result for the Corporation Bank SO Recruitment 2017 will be uploaded on the website corpbank.com. Candidates can check their obtained scores in the examination from the result which will be declared as per the scheduled dates only. The result will decide the candidates who will qualify the examination for the recruitment of the concerned post.
Cut Off Scores
Each candidate appeared for the exam will have to obtain a minimum score in each of the tests as well as on the Total scores and this will be considered to be called for the Group Discussion/or Interview. Mere passing in individual tests may not be sufficient for the candidates as they also need to score high on the total scores in order of merit to be called for the next stage.
The Final Selection will be based on the scores obtained by the candidates in both written examination and Interview and then qualified candidates will be considered for the concerned post.
