FSSAI Food Analyst Exam 2017 – Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is going to conduct 4th Food Analyst Examination 2017 and 1st Junior Food Analyst Examination, 2017 on 07 Jan 2018. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For 4th Food Analyst Examination 2017

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or hold Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/Oil or hold degree in Veterinary Sciences from a university establishes in India by law or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or any other equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central government for such purposes.

For 1st Junior Analyst Examination 2017

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or Food Science or Food Science and Nutrition or hold Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/Oil/Food or hold degree in Veterinary Sciences from a university establishes in India by law or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or any other equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central government for such purposes.

Experience

For 4th Food Analyst Examination 2017

The candidate should not possess less than three years experience in the analysis of food.

For 1st Junior Analyst Examination 2017

No Experience is required.

Age Limit 

For 4th Food Analyst Examination 2017

There is no age limit for appearing in the 4th FAE 2017.

For 1st Junior Analyst Examination 2017

Junior Food Analyst Examination Candidates age limit is maximum 28 years. For SC/ST category the maximum age is 33 years and for OBC category the maximum age is 31 years.

Note: 

  • The candidates who qualify Paper-I and Paper-II (Theory paper) as per the laid down criteria will only be allowed to appear in Paper-III (Practical). Dates of Practical examination will be intimated separately.
  • The Junior Analyst after acquiring 3 years mandatory experience in analysis of food may appear only in Paper-III (practical Examination) as and when conducted in future. The opportunity for appearing in Paper-III (Practical) for Junior Analysts after acquiring 3 years of experience will be provided only once. Upon qualifying Paper-III examination, the Junior Analyst will become eligible to be declared as Food Analysts under FSSR 2011.

Exam Pattern

Plan and syllabus for the 4th food analyst examination 2017 (4th fae, 2017) and 1st junior analyst examination 2017 (1st jae, 2017).

  • Both theory papers viz. Paper-I and Paper- II are compulsory for all candidates appearing for 4th FAE, 2017 and 1st JAE, 2017.
  • All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each question will carry four marks. There will also be negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The candidates should secure atleast 35% in each theory paper (Paper-I and Paper-II) separately with minimum aggregate of 40% in both papers.
  • The candidates of 4th FAE who qualify in Paper-I and Paper-II (Theory Papers) will only be allowed to appear in Paper-III (Practical). Dates, venue and syllabus of Practical examination will be intimated separately.
  • Candidates of 1st JAE who qualify in paper-I and paper-II (Theory papers) will be awarded certificate of qualified Junior Analyst.

Important Instructions

  • Candidate can apply only for one examination i.e., either for 4th Food Analysts Examination, 2017 (4th FAE, 2017) or for 1st Junior Analyst Examination, 2017 (1st JAE, 2017).
  • Candidates applying for 1st JAE, 2017 will have to appear only for Theory Papers – I and II, whereas candidates applying for 4th FAE, 2017 will also have to appear for Paper III (Practical exam) after clearing the theory papers I & II as per laid down criteria.
  • Applications are to be submitted only through online mode. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.
  • Before filling up online application form, please ensure fulfillment of essential educational qualification and experience, as the case may be.
  • No relaxation in the Educational Qualification and/or experience is admissible.
    Examination fee is to be submitted only through online mode. Fees submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
  • There shall be no refund of fees at any stage. In case fee is submitted for one application more than once, then excess fee will be refunded.
  • Choice of examination centre is available in the online form. However examination centre may be changed if sufficient number of candidates is not available for a particular examination centre.
