For Science Subjects, i.e. Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences & Life Sciences, the GSET syllabus is similar to CSIR-NET. However, the test Pattern is similar to the UGC-NET.
GSET 2021 Exam Pattern
GSET 2021 Exam Pattern is provided here candidates can check to have an idea. The Exam is going to be Objective Type, there will be 2 papers. It will be held in 2 sessions in 1st session there are going to be 50 questions carrying 2 marks each. In the 2nd session, there will be 100 questions carrying 2 marks each. Paper – I shall be of a general nature, with the aim of assessing the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. Paper-II shall consist of compulsory questions, (except mathematical science) based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Gujarat SET
Gujarat State Eligibility Test is a state-level examination organized by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. The exam is conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for Assistant Professors. The exam takes place with 23 subjects. Aspirants who qualify for the GSET exam are then declared as qualified for the Assistant Professor posts. However, the exam does not confer on providing jobs. Candidates qualifying for the exam need to apply for Assistant Professor posts available at different colleges/ universities.
