GSET 2016 Syllabus
Many candidates who appear for state level eligibility tests also appear in UGC NET or CSIR NET.
In view of that, state agency has kept GSET Syllabus same as UGC / CSIR NET. Thus it is easier for candidates to prepare for Gujarat State Eligibility Test.
Even if you do not know UGC / CSIR NET syllabus, you can download GSET Syllabus from www.gujaratset.ac.in or from this page.
Go through complete syllabus and prepare for SET. Focus on preparing theory and also solve multiple choice questions alongside.
- Mathematical Science
- Physical Science
- Chemical Science
- Life Science
- Political Science
- Library and Information Sciences
- Computer Science and Applications
- Physical Education
- Home Science
All in all there are 23 subjects. This is in fact three subjects more than last time GSET. Candidates should particularly select subject eligible for only.
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (M.S. University) as state agency will declare GSET Answer Key 2016 on official portal at gujaratset.ac.in.
Nevertheless, there are also chances that coaching centers will release unofficial keys after exam. Be that as it may, candidates can refer to GSET 2016 Answer Key to know correct answers. Also they will be able to estimate score and analyze selection chances using answer key.
After exam candidates will get GSET 2016 Question Paper and Answer Key.
To qualify State Eligibility Test, candidate must obtain cut off marks and be in top 15% in subject and category wise merit list. Result of Gujarat SET 2016 will be declared few weeks after exam. Candidates can simply log in to check result. Details of cut off marks and preparation of merit list is explained below.
In the first place, Candidate must get following marks.
|Minimum marks (%)||General||SC / ST / OBC / PH / VH|
|Paper I||40 (40%)||35 (35%)|
|Paper II||40 (40%)||35 (35%)|
|Paper III||75 (50%)||60 (40%)|
Then, state agency will prepare merit list of candidates who have obtained cut off marks. For this purpose, they will use aggregate marks of all papers. For example, if 100 candidates obtain above given marks, then merit list will have 100 candidates only (this is only example).
After that, state agency will select top 15% candidates for each subject and category. These are Gujarat SET (GSET) 2016 qualified candidates.
Thus GSET Result 2016 is declared after all these steps.
