Syllabus of exam
It has been decided by the competent authority to hold descriptive examination with the same syllabus on 29th January 2017 at Ahmedabad.
By above notice, we can infer that syllabus of Gujarat Postman / Mailguard Main Exam 2016-2017 will be same as that of exam held on 29 July 2016. Specific syllabus by Gujarat Postal Circle for the main exam is absent in any notice.
Exam day instructions
In case the photograph is not printed or is not visible/clear, the candidate should affix his / her recent passport size photograph in the space provided in Gujarat Postman Admit Card 2016 and also get it attested by a Gazetted officer.
The candidate must bring the admit card. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination center without Gujarat Postman Admit Card 2016-2017.
The candidate should also bring an original valid photo ID proof such as voter ID, PAN card, aadhaar card, driving license.
The candidate, before appearing for the written exam, should satisfy themselves regarding eligibility criteria required for the post with regard to prescribed qualification, age against notice released.
Qualifying the written exam dated 29.01.2017 (Sunday) is subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
Appearance in the written exam is, however, provisional and does not entitle the candidate for any claim or the post. You will be treated as de-barred ab-initio at any stage of the recruitment process, in case you do not fulfill any eligibility condition for the post.
The exam will test the candidate’s knowledge and writing capabilities.
You must bring blue ink ball point pen to write your answers.
Candidate must read the instruction carefully before writing the answers. Roll number should be filled in carefully. No representation seeking any change in the data in answer sheet would be entertained at a later date or at any stage.

The duration of written examination is two hours from 11 am to 1 pm.
Candidates are advised to make sure about the location of their examination center in advance. So that they reach the examination on specified date at least 45 minutes before the commencement of exam. No candidate will be permitted in the examination center beyond 11 am.
No candidate will be permitted to leave the examination center before 1 pm.
Before leaving the examination hall, the candidates must deposit admit card and answer sheet to the invigilator. Failure to do so would result in cancellation of candidature.
