HTET Syllabus 2020 for Level 1, 2, 3 – Get here

HTET Syllabus 2020: HTET is conducted for recruitment of personnel for Post-graduate, Trained-graduate and Primary Teacher’s jobs. The candidates can start preparing for the exam with HTET syllabus. However, the syllabus for the HTET exam 2020 has not been notified till now. But, we can prepare for the exam by referring to the previous exam pattern and syllabus. The exam of PRT level consists of 5 sections and of TGT and PGT level consist of 4 sections each. To know more about HTET syllabus 2020 read the article below.

HTET Syllabus 2020

HTET syllabus is not yet released for HTET exam 2020. Once the new notification and HTET syllabus releases, we will update it on our page. Till then, applicants can refer to the previous year syllabus and examination pattern for the preparation.

HTET 2020 Nature of Questions

The nature and standard of questions have been defined for each section. andidates can refer the details below to know the focus of topics in each section.

Child Development and Pedagogy – This section focuses on the educational psychology of teaching and learning. While preparing for it, the candidates have to keep in mind that the focus will be learning of the targeted age group. It is very important to gain a proper understanding of interactive and diverse learning. The attributes and qualities of a good facilitator are also important to learn.

  • The target audience for Level 1 will be 6 to 11 years old
  • For Level 2 the target audience will be 11 to 16 years old
  • The target audience for PGT Level is 14 to 17 years old

Language Test – The aim of the language test will be to access the proficiencies related to the medium of instructions.

General Studies – The main focus of GS will be elements of Mental and Reasoning Ability and to check the knowledge of candidates about Haryana.

Mathematics / Environmental Studies / Subject Opted For – The basic concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of the respective subject will be the focus.

HTET 2020 Optional Subjects

The candidates have to select a subject in Post-Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam level. This subject will have 60 marks weightage in the question paper in the 4th section. In PRT, the candidates do not have the choice to opt for any subject. Following are the subjects available for opting in both the exams:

HTET 2020 Exam Pattern

Candidates can refer to the exam pattern of HTEt from below. This pattern is as per the previous held exams and is likely to change with new notification:

Mode of Exam: Offline pen-paper test
Language: Hindi and English
Duration: 2 hour 30 minutes
No. of Questions: 150 questions
Type of Questions: MCQ type only
Marking Scheme: Every question will have 1 mark each. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Preparation Tips for HTET 2019

Candidates must remember to refer the tips while preparing for or starting to prepare for the HTET exam 2019:

  1. Analyse previous year question paper: Candidates must analyse the previous year question paper and choke out the important and recurring topics of the question papers.
  2. Go through NCERT: The candidate must go through NCERT books of all the classes and revise them throoughly. The basic questions of the opted subject come from these books only.
  3. Speed and Accuracy: The candidate needs to solve 150 questions in 150 minutes. He will get 1 minute per question. He must maintain his speed in the same way.
  4. Prepare for competition: Last year almost 3 lakh 77 thousand candidates appeared in the exam. The candidate will face competition and should be prepared for it.
  5. Make Notes: While preparing for a topic, the candidate must make notes of the important points that he will need to revise in the crucial hours before the exam.
  6. Mock Test: You should also give tests to know about your preparation and to know the level of exam. Mock tests help you analyse where you lack while preparing for the exam.
