Stages of Selection in IBPS RRB 2019

IBPS has defined the selection for RRB 2019 in a very clear manner. The selection process has two phases- Common Recruitment Process (CRP) and Interviews. The selection process for every post is slightly different from the other. Following are some details about the stage of selection:

a. Grade B Office Assistant

Stages About
Preliminary Examination This is the 1st part of the Common Recruitment Process. One needs to clear this part to proceed further. The exam covers Reasoning and Numerical Ability subjects. The 45 minutes exam has 80 questions of 1 mark each.
Main Examination A candidate is tested on various subjects in this part of CRP. One needs to focus on Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language*, Hindi Language*, and Computer Knowledge. The 200 marks exam is of 2 hours. *Candidate needs to choose one.  

b. Grade A Officer – Scale l

Stages About
Preliminary Examination In this part, the candidate needs to clear an objective-style exam. The 45 minutes exam covers questions from Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The 80 marks exam is of 45 minutes.
Main Examination In this 200 marks exam, one needs to focus on Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language*, Hindi Language*, and Computer Knowledge subjects. *Candidate needs to choose one.   
Interviews Only Grade A Officers (Scale I, II and III) are called for this phase. Candidates first need to clear Preliminary part to reach this phase. The interview round is organized by Nodal Regional Rural Bank under the guidance of NABARD and IBPS. One can check and download the admit card for more information. C. Grade A Officer (Scale ll and III)

Stages About
Single Level Examination This exam has objective-style questions from various subjects. One needs to attempt questions from subjects like Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, Financial Awareness, English Language*, Hindi Language*, and Computer Knowledge. *Candidate needs to choose one.
Interviews Candidates need to clear the Single level examination first. The interview round is organized in association with Nodal Regional Rural Bank under the guidance of NABARD and IBPS. Download call letter or admit card from the official website for more information.

C. Grade A Officer (Scale ll)

Stages About
Single Level Examination The candidate will attempt questions from various subjects. Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, Financial Awareness, English Language*, Hindi Language*, Professional Knowledge, and Computer Knowledge subjects. *Candidate needs to choose one.
Interviews On the interview day, the candidate needs to carry important documents.  

Provisional Allotment in IBPS RRB

After the selection process ends, the candidates are provisionally allotted to the RRBs. This is done on the basis of merit. Scale-1 officers and the office assistant will get a posting in the state selected. Officers from other scales can be posted anywhere as per the merit and requirement of RRB. The provisional allotment can be forfeited any times on the discretion of RRB.

Interview Cut off for IBPS RRB 2019

Interviews are conducted by Nodal Regional Rural Banks under the guidance of IBPS and NABARD. This process is only for candidates from Scale I, II and III officers. On the interview day, candidates also need to carry important documents for verification. The interview is of 100 marks in IBPS RRB 2019. The cut-off for the interview will be as follows for the year 2019:

List of Documents Required for IBPS RRB Interview

Document verification is one of the most important parts of the selection process. Candidates need to carry listed documents on the day of the interview. IBPS or RRB will not accept directly sent documents. Candidates need to carry the following documents:

  • Interview call letter printout
  • Online application form printout
  • Proof of date of birth- Birth certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate
  • Photo Identity Proof
  • Graduation level mark-sheets or certificates
  • Experience Certificates, if applicable
  • Caste Certificate by Government of India (SC/ST/OBC category)
  • Disability certificate
  • Copy of the service or discharge book for an Ex-serviceman along with pension payment order. (For  Scale-1 Officer candidates)
  • A “No Objection Certificate” from candidates that are still working. This is only valid for candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings.
  • The domicile certificate is required from persons eligible for age relaxation.
