IBPS RRB Clerk Result 2026: Prelims, Mains and Allotment

No CRP RRBs-XV Office Assistant result has been declared: IBPS's Tentative Calendar puts the Preliminary exam itself on 6, 12 and 13 December 2026. The notification schedules the Preliminary result for December 2026/January 2027 and provisional allotment for February/March 2027, after the Main exam tentatively set for 30 January 2027. The latest Office Assistant results IBPS has put out belong to the previous cycle, CRP RRBs-XIV, whose reserve-list allotment list was posted on 26 October 2026.

How the IBPS RRB Office Assistant result works, stage by stage

Preliminary result: a shortlist only

The Preliminary exam is qualifying. You have to clear both tests (Reasoning and Numerical Ability) by securing the minimum cut-off marks, and an adequate number of candidates in each category is called for the Main. In CRP RRBs-XIV the Office Assistant Preliminary result was a "Result Status" login on IBPS's registration site, not a PDF list of roll numbers, so you check it with your own registration details.

Main result: the provisional allotment itself

There is no interview for Office Assistants. Only Main marks count for the final merit list, and you need a minimum score in each Main test. Depending on the vacancies available in each state, candidates are shortlisted and provisionally allotted to a Regional Rural Bank on a merit-cum-preference basis, against the actual vacancies the RRBs report. In CRP RRBs-XIII, IBPS posted the Main result for provisional allotment on 1 January 2025, together with a note on the process for arriving at scores.

Normalisation and ties

Scores from different sessions are normalised using the equi-percentile method, to two decimal points. If two or more candidates have the same score, the candidate senior in age is placed above.

After the result: reserve list and joining

A reserve list is drawn in each category. If RRBs report further vacancies within one year after the date of provisional allotment, IBPS carries out provisional allotment from that list three to four times. The CRP RRBs-XIV cycle shows this in practice: a reserve-list provisional allotment on 30 September 2026 and a list of candidates provisionally allotted from the reserve list on 26 October 2026. The whole CRP RRBs-XV process lapses one year after the date of provisional allotment, or when a fresh allotment is made, whichever is earlier.

Provisional allotment is not an offer of employment: the allotted RRB verifies your eligibility documents. Proficiency in the local language of the state is required; if you do not meet it at selection, you get six months from joining to acquire it.
