What after the Indian Navy MR Result 2022?
After the result for the written examination is released, the qualified candidates are called for a physical test. The candidates who pass the physical test are included in the merit list. The merit list is released on the official website of the Indian navy. Shortlisted candidates are then enrolled for medical examination. Candidates passing the medical standards are selected for recruitment and are subjected to a training period in the Indian navy. After successful completion of training, the person officially joins as sailor in the Indian Navy.
Indian Navy MR Selection Process 2022
Candidates shall be shortlisted for Matric Recruit (MR) posts based on three stages – written exam, PGT and medical exam. Aspirants have to clear all these three rounds to be able to get selected for training.
Written Test and PFT
- The first stage includes the written examination. Thereafter, aspirants are shortlisted for Physical Fitness Test (PFT),
- This year, Indian Navy has announced that due to coronavirus, only 1750 candidates will be called for the written exam and PFT round. Aspirants will be shortlisted based on marks in qualifying exam.
- The last stae is the medical exam that is conducted by military doctors as per medical stand.
- Minimum height – 157 cms.
- Chest and weight should be proportional.
- Minimum chest expansion – 05 cms.
- If a candidate is declared unfit, they can appeal within 21 days to INHS Nivrani, Chilka, INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam.

Indan Navy MR Training
After the selection, aspirants are called for the training session at INS Chilka. As per the official notification, the training shall start from April 2022 with a duration of 12 weeks. On completing the training, professional training in allotted trade will also be conducted. The initial engagement is for a period of 15 years for MR.

Chef (MR): Candidates recruited as chefs have to prepare food and do the accounting of ration. The food will be vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. They will also get training in firing arms and get the allotment of other duties.
