Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2019 – Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) conduct the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for the candidates who are seeking their career in Teaching. There are two stages of JTET. The candidates who fulfill all the eligibility norms can apply for any stage of the Eligibility Test and for this you have to visit the JAC website. The mode of application for the test is online only. Jharkhand TET 2019

The two stages of the eligibility test are:

  1. TET Level I: For primary level (class 1 to 5)
  2. TET Level II: For Upper Primary Level (class 6 to 8)

Eligibility Criteria

Class I-V (Primary Level) –

  • Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 % marks & passed or appearing in final 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks & passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
  • Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks & passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible.
  • Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.

Classes VI-VIII (Paper II) – 

  • Applicants having Graduation Degree and appearing in final 2 years D.Ed
  • Candidates having Graduation Degree with at least 45, 50% percent marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed.
  • A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc are eligible for JAC TET.

Jharkhand TET Application From

Jharkhand Academic Council releases the application form in online mode for the eligible candidates in order to appear in the Teacher Eligibility Test. The candidates have to fill the form with all the correct and complete information. The application process completes after the payment of the application fee. The application fee is required to be paid in the mode prescribed by JAC.

The verification of the details filled by the candidates in the online application will be done by the authority at the time of the selection. If any wrong or false information will be found, the candidature of the intended candidate will be canceled immediately. It is recommended to the candidates to preserve a hard copy (printed copy) of the filled application for future reference.

Jharkhand TET Admit Card

The JTET Admit card for all the students can be downloaded from the JAC website. The admit card will not be sent by post to any candidates. Candidates have to download it from the official website some days prior to the eligibility test. Candidates are required to check the particulars mentioned on the admit card carefully. In case of any error, you have will require to contact the official authority.

Jharkhand TET Exam Pattern 

According to the information of the previous year, the test will be of objective type. Along with question paper, an OMR sheet will also be given to the candidates for marking the answer. Duration of paper will be 02.30 hrs and the medium of the exam will be Hindi and English. But the questions of English and Urdu will be given only in English and Urdu language.

Selection Process

Jharkhand TET consisting of two papers, the first one is for primary class i.e. from class I-V and the second one is conducted for Upper Primary class i.e. from class VI-VIII. Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) releases the result for Teacher Eligibility Test after the completion of Test.

As per previous year information, candidates who will score at least 60% will be considered as selected. For SC / ST the cut-off score is 52%. Candidates who will qualify the TET will not be considered as finally selected. Final selection of the candidates will be based on the TET score and on the eligibility criteria.

1. Can I appear for TET for practice purpose, though I am aware that I am not eligible?
Ans. No. You must fulfill the eligibility requirements to appear for TET. Moreover, appearance in the TET shall be considered as an attempt.

2. In case the website does not work and I am unable to complete my application, what should I do?
Ans. If the registration website is not accessible for any reason, please close the Internet browser (delete browsing history, cache & cookies of the web browser) and try again. Also, ensure that you are using the correct version of the Internet browser recommended

3. Can I use my coaching institutes or a friend’s email address and/or mobile number when registering for TET?
Ans. No. You must provide a valid email address and mobile number of yours. Future correspondence pertaining to TET may be communicated to you via the registered email address/mobile number.

4. What do I do if I have not received any email?
Ans. Emails can get delayed for various reasons, please check your mailbox after some time. You can also check the spam folder of your mailbox for the same. If you still cannot find the same, try registration procedure after some time.

5. I have changed my name to the due procedure after completing my 10th/12th/Degree Examination. Should I enter my name as per the 10th/12th/Degree Certificate or the changed name?
Ans. You must enter your changed name and have such documents in your possession all the stages of the examination process. TET authorities may ask for the same for verification. Failure to produce the same on demand may disqualify your candidature.

6. What do I do, if my Marks Percentage is in Grade?
Ans. The percentage is calculated by the system based on Full Marks & Obtained Marks entered by you and you can change/modify the same to grade this is purely optional. However, keeping the same in percentage format is welcomed.
