Kerala SET 2020 Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks as provided below to pass Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET). The qualifying marks are given in the table below.

How to calculate percentage of marks?
To calculate the percentage of marks for pass, candidates can use the formula provided below.
Percentage of marks = Marks secured for ( Paper I + Paper II) / Maximum marks for (Paper I + Paper II) X 100
In the calculation of marks, fraction is rounded off to the first two decimal places in the calculation of the aggregate percentage of marks. No rounding off is done for the calculation of percentage of marks for pass for Paper-I and Paper-II respectively.

Document Verification for Kerala SET 2020
Candidates who are declared qualified for Kerala SET 2020 are called for document verification. Successful candidates have to send their documents for verification and issuance of the SET certificate. These documents should be sent to the Director, LBS Centre, Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram within the stipulated time.
Documents which candidates have to send are as follows:
- Filled in the application form for SET Feb 2020 downloaded from the official website of LBS centre.
- Copies attested by Gazetted officer –
- PG degree original/provisional grade sheet and mark sheet/certificate.
- B.Ed original/provisional degree.
- Recognition and equivalency certificate from any university of Kerala (if applicable).
- Equivalency certificate from anyone university in case of candidates possessing qualification in subjects other than mentioned.
- Original caste/category certificate which remains valid till online registration of SET 2020 (required for the relaxation of marks).
Issue of Kerala SET 2020 Certificate
Those candidates who are able to qualify Kerala SET 2020 have to produce their qualifying certificates and application for the SET certificate. These certificates should be produced within a period of one year from the date of publication of result. SET certificates are signed by the director of general education only after verification of documents. If candidates apply for the SET certificate after 1 year, they have to pay a late fee of Rs. 500 for the next one year and an additional amount of Rs.250/- for each subsequent year.
Late fee for the issuance of the SET certificate should be sent in demand draft. DD can be drawn from any nationalized bank in the favour of the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Duplicate Kerala SET 2020 Certificate
If Kerala SET 2020 certificate is lost, a duplicate certificate is issued to the candidates. For this, candidates have to apply to the director, LBS centre for science and technology on the payment of Rs.1000/-. The following documents should be attached with the application for the issue of duplicate certificate:
- A demand draft of Rs.1000/- drawn from a nationalized bank in favour of the Director, LBS Centre science and technology, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
- An affidavit stamp paper of Rs.100/- to the effect that SET certificate is lost, which is attested by the notary public/first-class judicial magistrate and other important documents.
About Kerala SET
LBS Centre for Science and Technology conducts the recruitment process for Kerala SET. It is mandatory to qualify SET for the appointment as higher secondary school teachers in the state. Candidates have to go through one stage selection procedure which includes a written examination. A SET certificate is issued to only those candidates who successfully produce their documents for verification.

Ans : The duplicate certificate can be availed on payment of fee of Rs 1000. Apart from that an affidavit in stamp paper worth Rs 100 to the effect that the SET Certificate issued to the candidate has been irrecoverably lost, duly attested by a Notary Public/First Class Judicial Magistrate and other relevant certificates must also be produced.
Ans : Those who want to get a photocopy of the OMR Answer Sheet will be provided the same on payment of a fee of Rs 500 per paper. Application for providing photocopy must be made within a period of one month from the date of publication of results. Late applications will not be considered.
Ans : General candidates have to secure minimum 40 marks in Paper-I and Paper-II respectively and 48 marks in total.
