Meghalaya TET Validity 2020 – Now Extended!
NCTE, as per its latest update, has now extended the validity period for the Meghalaya TET certificate. Now, candidates can use their Meghalaya TET certificate for a period of lifetime. Earlier, the certificate was valid up to 07 years from the declaration of result. Check out the notification snapshot below.

MTET (Meghalaya TET) Application Form 2020
The application form for Meghalaya TET 2020 releases at megeducation.gov.in. Candidates have to download and print the application form from the website. Mode of submitting the application form is offline only. Before or till the last date candidates application form should reach the DERT / Principal DIETs office.
Mode of Payment-
A Treasury Challan Receipt of Rs 10/- (per each paper) should be deposited under the Head of Account under the following address
“0202-Education, Sports and Arts and Culture-01-General Education-600-General-(01)- Examination Fees”

Important Note
The candidates whose name will be shortlisted will be displayed on the Notice Board at the office of the DERT/ Principal DIET’s/SDSEO’s those candidates have to submit a Treasury Challan Receipt of Rs 300/- as the examination fee (for SC/ST Rs 150/- will be the examination fee) for each paper i.e. Paper I & Paper II at the Head of Account “0202-Education, Sports and Arts and Culture-01-General Education-600-General-(01)- Examination Fees” within detailed estimates of revenues and receipts Vol-I, during 2018-19.
Eligibility Criteria For MTET (Meghalaya TET) 2020
Before sending the MTET Application Form 2020, candidates should first read the eligibility criteria. If the candidates do not fulfil all the eligibility criteria they are not considered for the further MTET (Meghalaya TET) 2020 process.
Nationality: Applicants should hold Indian Citizenship.
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be more than 32 years as on January 01, 2020.
Age Relaxation: 05 years of age relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to the SC / ST category.
Educational Qualification:
Classes I-V:
-> Candidates must have qualified the 12th standard by scoring minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Along with 12th candidates should have passed the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE. or
-> Candidates must have passed the 12th standard by scoring minimum 50% marks ( 45% marks for for SC / ST) with 4 years B.El.Ed. or
-> By scoring minimum 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidate should have qualified the 12th standard with a Diploma in Special Education.
Classes VI-VIII:
-> Candidates must have qualified the B.A / B. Sc by scoring at least 50% marks with 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE. or
-> Candidates must have passed the B.A / B. Sc by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 1 year B. Ed. or
-> Candidates must have passed the B.A / B. Sc standard by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 4 years of Bachelor course in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). or
-> By scoring minimum 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidate should have qualified the B.A / B. Sc course with a Diploma in Special Education. or
-> The candidates must have qualified the 12th standard by scoring 50% marks ( 45% with for SC / ST) with 4-Year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed are also eligible.
Meghalaya TET Admit Card 2020
Once the application process for MTET exam is over candidates have to download the Meghayala TET admit card from the website. MTET Admit Card will be released at the official website i.e. megeducation.gov.in. MTET Admit Card is the key to enter in the examination hall. For all the candidates it is mandatory to carry one valid ID proof (Adhar Card, Pan Card, Voter ID Card, Passport etc) and a hard copy of the admit card on the day of the MTET Examination. Admit card will contain the name of the candidates, examination venue, examination name, exam timing, candidate’s father name etc.

Exam Pattern For Meghalaya TET 2020

- Paper Detail- Paper – I will be for a candidate who wants to be a teacher for classes I-V. Paper-II will be for candidates who want to be a Teacher for classes VI-VIII. Applicants who want to be a teacher either for Classes I-V or for Classes VI-VIII will have to appear in both papers (i.e. paper I & II).

How to Prepare for Meghalaya TET 2020?
Now that candidates have examination pattern and syllabus, candidates can begin their preparations for MTET. Why is it so necessary to know the syllabus and pattern? Meghalaya TET Answer Key 2020
Right after the examination, the answer key for Meghalaya TET 2020 releases at megeducation.gov.in. For checking the answer key candidates will do not require to enter the login details at the login page. DERT releases Meghalaya TET answer key in PDF format. Answer Key helps the candidates in predicting their marks in the examination. For calculating the correct scores candidates should follow the marking criteria. Only officially released answer key are considered for calculating the marks. After releasing the MTET answer key direct link will be provided at the answer key page.
Minimum Qualification Criteria: The qualifying marks for MTET (Meghalaya TET) 2020 (MTET 2020) will be 60% and 55% marks will be relaxable for the candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC category.
Meghalaya TET Result 2020
Once the answer key for Meghalaya TET releases, applicants can check the result online. For this, they need to visit the official website megeducation.gov.in. At first, after the screening of the candidate’s applications the selected candidate’s list will be displayed on the Notice Board at the office of the DERT/ Principal DIET’s/SDSEO’s. Secondly, after the successful conduction of the MTET 2020 result for that is declared at the official website i.e. megeducation.gov.in. The MTET result releases in the form of Merit List. The result is based on the marks scored by the candidates in the Test.
