PSTET Exam Pattern 2021: Punjab State Education Board conducts PSTET exam in two papers, Paper I for aspirants who want to apply for a teacher post for standard I to V and Paper II for aspirants who want to apply for a teacher’s position for standard VI to VIII. PSTET Exam Pattern 2021
All questions in PSTET will be Multiple Choice based (MCQs), with four alternatives given. The candidates need to mark out one correct/most appropriate option in the given OMR sheet. Each question asked in the test carries one mark and there is no negative marking. Two different papers are as follows:

PSTET Exam Details
Aspiring candidates who want to be a teacher for all levels I-VIII must give and pass both the papers. Paper 1 focuses on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relative to the age group of 6-11 years. The test for Language I (Punjabi) is conducted to focus on proficiencies related to the Language of teaching. The Language II (English) section focuses on the elements of language, communication and comprehension skills. Mathematics questions and Environmental Studies focuses on the concepts, problem-solving abilities.

Paper 2 focuses on the educational psychology of teaching and learning related to the age group of 11-14 years. Mathematics questions & Science and Social Studies / Social Science focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and understanding of the subjects. Questions asked are in accordance with different divisions of the syllabus prescribed for classes VI to VIII by the Education Department, Government of Punjab/NCERT.

About Exam
PSTET is organised every year by PSEB and aspirants who want to pursue their career in the field of teaching in the state of Punjab apply for it. Two different papers are conducted in the PSTET examination process, paper I is for recruitment of teachers for classes I -V (primary section) and Paper II for recruitment of teachers of classes VI to VIII (upper-primary section) in Government schools across the state of Punjab.
