The candidates qualifying paper-1 of PSTET exam are eligible for teaching primary class i.e. 1st to 5th class. Approximately 251 examination centers were established throughout Punjab for conducting of PSTET 2019-2020. Around 1,74,561 candidates from Punjab as well as neighboring states are likely to appear in the PSTET 2019-2020 examination.

To prepare the result merit list for PSTET, the official answer key is used to evaluate the response sheets of the candidates and to know the scores of the candidates. The marking scheme is followed for evaluating the answer sheets of all the appearing candidates. Note: The merit list will be prepared in the decreasing order of marks scored by the candidates. The candidates with the maximum marks will be at the top of the list.
Test takers who wish to qualify the papers have to clear the minimum cut-off for the exam. Candidates who do not score marks more than or equal to the minimum cut-off marks will be considered fail for that particular paper. The minimum marks of cut-off will be 60% of total marks i.e. 90 marks out 150 marks. State board can decide concession for some categories of candidates in the minimum cut-off marks.
