Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic salary of ₹10940/- per month. However, the Special Compensatory Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Family Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Grade Allowance, etc. as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly salary for an RBI Office Attendant is approximately ₹ 22,339/-.

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Office Attendant 2017
Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the officials before they register themselves for the recruitment process. We have listed a few of them below.
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years (as on 01/11/2017).
- The candidate should have cleared his 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation)from a recognized board.
- If the candidate is applying for a particular recruitment zone then, he/she should have the domicile for that state.
- The candidate should be an undergraduate.
- Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualification are not eligible to apply.
- Candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category should at least have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) and rendered at least 15 years of defence service, provided they have not graduated outside the Armed Forces.
- Candidates applying to a recruiting office of a particular state then they should be proficient in the language of the state(i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language).

The application form was available in the online mode. Candidates had to pay the application fees during the registration process. It could only be paid in the online mode. Candidates had to pay the intimation charges. However, staff candidates are exempted from payment of test fee. Before applying Online, a candidate was required to have a valid Email ID (which should remain active during the entire recruitment process), scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature.

Selection Process For RBI Office Attendant 2017
The selection process for this RBI recruitment comprises of 2 main stages i.e. Online test & Language proficiency test (LPT). The online test held in bilingual, i.e. English and Hindi except for the test of General English. 1/4th mark has been deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidates in the online test. Candidates had to pass with the minimum prescribed mark in each subject of Online Test.
LPT was a Qualifying Type test. Candidates who qualify the online test had to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). LPT conducted in the Official / Local Language of the concerned test.
