SEBI Grade A Exam – Last 2 Weeks Preparation Strategy
Candidates who want to pass the SEBI Grade A exam should follow the study tips provided here. There are only two weeks until the SEBI Grade A exam, so candidates must start preparing. The following important strategies can be used prior to the exam to help you prepare well and pass the exam in the first attempt.
- Candidates must prioritise their preparation during these two weeks. Understanding the paper pattern and managing time should be prioritised. When the pattern is clear and the candidates know how much time to allot to each question, they can fully focus on the syllabus.
- It is advised that candidates do not learn any new concepts at this time. It may cause unwanterd stress and may even result in forgetting previously completed topics.
- Try any mock tests and stick to your time management strategy. This practise will be beneficial on exam day.
- As only two weeks left. Don’t let the negativity in the environment affect your mindset while preparation in any way. Maintain a positive attitude and believe that nothing is impossible. Take short 5-10 minute breaks while studying because long hours of study can lead to inefficiency.
Exam Centre Instructions
Identity Verification
- The call letter, along with the original and a photocopy of the candidate’s recrent valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) must be presented in the examination hall and at the time of interview.
- The candidate’s identification will be verified based on the information on the call letter, the Attendance List, and the documents submitted. If the candidate’s identity is brought into question, he or she may be prohibited from taking the examination.
Note: Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not valid ID proof.
BIOMETRIC DATA / IRIS – Capturing and Verification
It has been decided to collect biometric data (thumb impressions) and photographs of candidates on the day of the Online Examination (Phase II) for those who appear for the exam. The captured photo will be compared to the photo uploaded by the candidate in the application.
The biometric data and photograph will be verified subsequently. The Biometric data verification authority’s decision on its status (matched or mismatched) is final and binding on the candidates. Candidates are asked to keep the following points in mind to ensure a smooth process.
- Fingers are not coated (stamped ink/ mehndi/ coloured, etc.)
- If fingers are dirty or dusty, ensure to wash them before the fingerprint verification
- If the primary finger (thumb) to be captured is injured/damaged, immediately notify the verification authority in the test center.
What after SEBI Grade A Exam?
After both the phases of online examination are over, the candidates are shortlisted based on the score obtained in the Phase-2. The shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. The candidates have to score good in the interviews as the score is counted for the final merit list. After the interview the final merit list is made based on the combined score of Phase-2 and interview.
About SEBI Grade A
SEBI Grade A exam is conducted by Securities and Exchange Board of India(SEBI) for recruitment to the post of Assistant manager in SEBI. The exam is conducted annually to select the eligible candidates through the stages of online examination and interview. SEBI releases a number of vacancies every year on a nationwide scale.
Selection Process
The exam of SEBI Grade A includes three phases
- Phase I online examination
- Phase II online examination
- Phase III Interview
After clearing two stages of online examination candidates have to face the interview conducted by SEBI. The candidates need to clear all the stages of the exam for final selection.
Exam Pattern
SEBI Grade A exam consists of a total of three stages-Phase 1, Phase 2 and Interview. Phase 1 is a screening test which consists of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Phase 2 also consists of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Phase I Online Examination
- Itconsists of two online exams which are multiple choice based exams. Paper 1 is conducted for all streams while Paper 2 is stream specific.
- It consists of screening test of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- 1/4th marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer
Phase II On-Line Examination
- Candidates qualifying Phase-1 are called for Phase-2. The score obtained in Phase-2 stage is considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit list. This phase also consists of two papers- paper 1 and paper 2.
- It consists of online examination consisting of two papers of total 300 marks.
