The SSC Selection Post Phase 9 Exam Pattern 2022 is released through an official notification on its website, ssc.nic.in. The SSC Selection Post Phase IX Exam comprises three different papers in a computer-based format. Depending upon the minimum educational qualifications (Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation level and above) required for a particular post, candidates have to choose which paper they wish to attempt. Candidates need to understand the exam pattern of the Higher Secondary, Matriculation as well as Graduation level to prepare for the exam properly. We have provided a detailed exam pattern for all the levels below.

  • Type of paper: Objective-type paper.
  • Subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language
  • Total number of questions: 100 questions.
  • Maximum marks: 200 marks.
  • Duration: 1 hour (1 hour and 20 minutes for people who are eligible for scribes)
  • Negative marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer
  • Candidates need to appear for skill tests such as Typing, Computer Proficiency, Data Entry, etc. if the post they have applied for mentions such a test in the essential qualifications.

  4. English Language: Synonyms, Antonyms, Spelling, Active/Passive voice, etc.

  1. General Intelligence: Critical thinking, Embedded Figures, Decoding and classification, etc. 
  2. General Awareness: Questions on the geographical, cultural, economic, social, and political background of India and its neighboring countries are asked.
  3. Quantitative Aptitude: Sphere, Degree and Radian Measures, Hemispheres, etc.
  4. English Language: Comprehension, Writing ability, etc.

About SSC Selection Post 

The SSC Selection Post exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Selection Posts in various departments of the Government of India. The exam is conducted once a year every year. The exam consists of three computer-based tests of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation level.
