SSC GD Result 2026: CBE Result Out, PET/PST Shortlist

The SSC GD 2026 CBE result was declared on 12 October 2026 and shortlists candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Of 21,56,776 candidates who appeared, 15,782 women and 1,81,251 men were shortlisted against State/UT vacancies, and 375 men against all-India SSF vacancies. The final result comes only after the PET/PST and the medical examination, which the CAPFs will conduct in due course.

What the 12 October 2026 result contains

• List-I (women) and List-II (men other than SSF) shortlisted for PET/PST, List-III with 60 withheld results and List-IV with 88 debarred candidates.
• Cut-offs by State/UT, category and area (general, border, naxal/militancy affected) in Annexure-I for women and Annexure-II for men, with Part A/B/C marks and the date of birth of the last shortlisted candidate.
• On 23 October 2026 SSC re-uploaded List-I and List-II showing both the category a candidate applied under and the category they were considered in. This followed queries from reserved-category candidates listed as UR because they qualified at UR standard.

How SSC ranks GD candidates

Merit is based on normalised CBE marks plus any NCC bonus, worked out state-wise, area-wise and category-wise, separately for men and women. About 8 times the vacancies are shortlisted for PET/PST, and about 2 times for the DME/DV. Candidates from naxal/militancy-affected districts are considered first against those vacancies, then border-area candidates, then general area. Ties are broken by Part-A marks, then Part-B, then Part-C, then older date of birth, then alphabetical order of name. Migrated SC/ST/OBC candidates who chose their domicile State were processed as UR: 13,231 such candidates, of whom 246 were shortlisted.

When will SSC GD 2026 marks be available?

SSC says the Final Answer Keys, question papers and the marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded in due course, behind the candidate login (Registration Number and Password). Past windows were short. GD 2025 marks were open from 26 June to 10 July 2025, GD 2024 from 10 to 24 July 2024, and GD 2025 final marks from 16 February to 1 March 2026. What happens after the CBE result

1. PET/PST by the CAPFs, with call letters from CRPF. PET: men run 5 km in 24 minutes, women 1.6 km in 8½ minutes (Ladakh region: 1.6 km in 7 minutes and 800 metres in 5 minutes). PST height: 170 cm for men and 157 cm for women, with relaxations for listed categories. There is no appeal in the PET race.
2. Detailed Medical Examination and Document Verification, both by the CAPFs. Your Matriculation certificate, Domicile Certificate/PRC and any caste or NCC certificate are checked.
3. Final result with force allocation by merit-cum-preference. Force preferences cannot be changed once the application is submitted.

The GD 2025 cycle shows the pace. The CBE result came out on 17 June 2025, PET/PST ran from 20 August to 15 September 2025, and the PET/PST result on 13 October 2025 called 95,575 candidates to DME/DV. The final result of 15 January 2026 recommended 4,817 women and 43,296 men. SSC keeps no reserve or waiting list; unfilled vacancies are carried forward by the CAPFs.
