The latest SSC CHSL result is the CHSLE 2025 final result, declared on 7 October 2026, which provisionally selected 3,515 candidates against 3,522 vacancies. For CHSL 2026, no result is due until after Tier-I (30 November to 31 December 2026). That result will shortlist candidates for Tier-II.

What does each SSC CHSL result decide?

Tier-I result: shortlist for Tier-II

SSC publishes a write-up PDF with category-wise cut-offs and roll-number lists. There are separate lists for three post groups: LDC/JSA; DEO/DEO Grade 'A' in the department named at para 8.1 of the Notice (the Science-stream DEO list); and other DEO posts. Scores are normalised under SSC's procedure of 2 June 2025. You also need the minimum qualifying marks: 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS and 20% for all other categories. In the CHSLE 2025 Tier-I result of 27 February 2026, the UR cut-off for the LDC/JSA list was 144.25858, and that list had 37,520 candidates.

FRTA after Tier-II: first allocation

Merit is based only on the aggregate of Sections I and II of Tier-II. You must also qualify Section III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section IV (Skill or Typing Test). Post preferences are collected online first; for CHSLE 2025, 13,395 candidates who submitted preferences were considered. The CHSLE 2025 FRTA of 17 August 2026 fixed these qualifying cut-offs:

  • Computer Knowledge Test (out of 45): 13.5 for UR, 11.25 for OBC/EWS and 9 for other categories
  • LDC/JSA typing test: up to 7% mistakes allowed for UR and 10% for others
  • DEO Grade 'A' skill test: up to 5% mistakes for UR and 7% for others

Identity verification, then the final result

SSC prepares no reserve list. Instead, FRTA candidates must attend Identity Verification in person and choose FIX or FLOAT. For CHSLE 2025, slot booking ran from 20 to 22 August 2026. Verification was held from 1 to 3 September 2026 in the Regional Office cities. Absentees were left out of the final result. The final result recorded 2,260 FIX, 927 FLOAT and 328 new allocations against absentees. Its fresh ranks supersede the FRTA ranks.

How are ties broken?

A tie in Tier-II scores is broken in this order:

  1. Marks in Section I of Tier-II
  2. Tier-I marks
  3. Date of birth, with the older candidate placed higher

When can you see your SSC CHSL marks?

Marks are shown in the candidate login for a limited window only, and SSC asks you to print them. For CHSLE 2025, Tier-I marks were open from 19 March 2026 to 9 April 2026. For CHSLE 2024, Tier-I marks were open from 16 October 2024 to 6 November 2024, and Tier-II marks from 6 March 2025 to 20 March 2025. The CHSLE 2025 Tier-II marks are to be uploaded "in due course", according to the final result write-up.

What happens after the final result?

SSC compiles each selected candidate's dossier electronically for the allocated department to download. Document Verification and appointment are then handled by that department, not by SSC. If you hear nothing within six months of the final result, contact the department. Unfilled vacancies are carried forward to later years, not offered to a waiting list. The LDC post in the Border Roads Organisation has physical and medical standards, and an allocated post is not changed if you fail them. Appointees serve two years on probation.
