The latest SSC MTS 2025 result is the CBE result for the post of Havaldar, declared on 3 August 2026, which shortlisted 8071 candidates (including 02 withheld) for PET/PST. An additional list followed on 7 October 2026. The final result for MTS and Havaldar, the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA), is declared together after the Havaldar PET/PST.

What did the 3 August 2026 MTS result do?

MTS 2025 drew 36,19,834 applications, and 8,04,633 candidates appeared in the CBE. The result write-up published three PDF roll-number lists. List-I holds the candidates shortlisted for Havaldar PET/PST. List-II covers 727 candidates whose results were not processed because of malpractice. List-III covers 169 candidates debarred by Regional Offices. Two results (roll numbers 125270001942 and 125270006713) were withheld for suspicious activities.

  • Shortlisting ratio: 1:7 (vacancies to candidates) for Havaldar, on normalised Session-II scores, CCA-wise and category-wise.
  • Cut-off details: Annexure-I gives, for each CCA and category, the Session-II marks, General Awareness marks, Session-I marks and date of birth of the last candidate.
  • Preferences: candidates were considered only for the Post-cum-CCAs they chose in the online form.

The additional result of 7 October 2026 processed the 727 malpractice cases after partial relief from the CAT-PB. It shortlisted 542 of them, all kept withheld, and put 15 more results in sealed cover pending police investigation.

How the MTS final result is prepared

  • MTS: merit comes from Session-II alone, with separate State/UT-wise and category-wise cut-offs for two age groups, 18 to 25 years and 18 to 27 years. Candidates eligible for both groups are filled first in the 18-25 group.
  • Havaldar: Session-II merit plus qualifying the PET/PST. Failing the PET/PST rules you out for Havaldar only; your MTS candidature stays valid.
  • Single list: the final result is one select list for all posts. Once a Post-cum-State/UT/CCA is allocated, SSC does not change it for failure to meet a post-specific standard.
  • Ties: General Awareness marks in Session-II, then total normalised Session-I marks, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order.

Scorecard and marks

Marks are released only after the final result. For MTS 2024 the final result came on 12 March 2025, and marks were open through the candidate login from 28.03.2025 (06:00PM) to 27.04.2025 (06:00PM). SSC advises taking a printout, as the scorecard is not available afterwards.

After the result

Document Verification is done by the User Departments after the final result, not by SSC. In the MTS 2024 final result, SSC said dossiers go to departments electronically through an e-dossier module. Discrepancies about selection or allocation had to be raised with the Commission within one month. A selected candidate who hears nothing from the allocated department within six months should contact that department. If you scored above the cut-off but were not qualified for the next stage, para 18.21 of the 2025 notice asks you to represent to the Regional Office within 30 days of the result.

For scale, the MTS 2024 Havaldar PET/PST ran from 05.02.2025 to 12.02.2025. 21,746 candidates appeared and 20,959 qualified. The final result qualified 8079 candidates for MTS and 3428 for Havaldar.
