The SSC Selection Post Phase-XIV/2026 admit card has been issued and used: the Computer Based Examination (CBE) ran from 16 to 26 September 2026, and city details went live on 8 September 2026. After the CBE, call letters for skill tests and document verification come from the User Department or the SSC Regional Office to which the post belongs.
How did the Phase-XIV admit card work?
The city-intimation notice of 8 September 2026 let candidates check their exam city through the designated login module on ssc.gov.in. The Admission Certificate was to be available through the same login 2-3 days before each exam date. Own-scribe candidates had to register their scribe afresh, because SSC had disposed of registrations made before 5 November 2025. They also had to map the scribe's OTR by 11 September 2026 (11:00 PM) to get a Scribe Entry Pass.
Selection Posts are advertised post-category-wise across SSC's Regional Offices, at three levels: Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2) and Graduation and above. A "common candidate" who applied for several posts, regions or levels gets only one Admission Certificate per level, and must sit the CBE only once per level. Appearing more than once cancels the candidature. Your marks for that level are then used by every Regional Office whose posts you applied for.
Under the Phase-XIV Notice, the time-table and exam city are uploaded about 10 days before the exam. If your details are missing one week before the exam, call SSC's toll-free number (1800 309 3063) at once, with proof of having applied.
Compensatory time for PwBD candidates
For Phase-XIV, SSC checked the documents uploaded by candidates with locomotor disability. It printed each one's compensatory time and scribe entitlement on the admit card. Candidates who disagreed were told to contact their Regional Director or Regional Office, with the disability certificate and other papers, before the exam. A notice of 11 September 2026 gave a one-time chance to re-upload valid documents until 12 September 2026, 2:00 PM. That chance applied only to the Selection Post exam, and the status showed alongside the admit card status.
What do you need at the exam centre?
Bring a printout of the Admission Certificate. Candidates without Aadhaar-based authentication must report two (02) hours before the exam. They need at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original photo ID with the date of birth as printed on the admit card. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN card, Passport, a school or college ID, an employer ID card, and an Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book. If the ID lacks a date of birth, bring an original certificate showing it, as a mismatch bars entry. The Notice exempts Aadhaar-authenticated candidates from this date-of-birth rule.
The CBE is in Hindi and English only, and your answers are recorded only in the medium you chose in the application form. It lasts 60 minutes, with a 15-minute sectional timer for each of the four parts. Scribe-eligible candidates get 80 minutes, with 20 minutes per part.
Skill test and document verification call letters
SSC's notice of 3 March 2026 changed the procedure from Phase-XIII onwards:
- If a post's skill test falls within the User Department's domain, that department issues the call letters and holds the test. Call letters for SSC-domain skill tests come from the Regional Office concerned.
- The User Department sends each accepted candidate a document verification call letter giving the time and venue. The Regional Office also posts the DV schedule on its website.
Call letters may arrive on the department's website or by SMS, email or post, so watch your Regional Office website too. For typing, stenography or DEST skill tests, each Regional Office issues its own Admission Certificate. You may take the test in one region for all posts with the same norms; if you take it more than once, only the first attempt counts.
