TPSC Recruitment 2021 Selection Procedure
The selection for the TPSC recruitment is based on various stages. However, for every recruitment, the commission determines a separate selection procedure. Some of the common stages through which selection is done comprises prelims, mains, interviews and skill tests.
Prelims Exam
This is usually the initial stage of the selection procedure. The exam takes place either online or offline using OMR sheets. Candidates have to appear for prelims to be able to appear for the mains exam.
Mains Exam
After qualifying the prelims exam, candidates have to appear for the mains exam. For some recruitment, TPSC does not organize mains but direct interview/ skill tests.
Interview
The interview stage is conducted to test candidates ability to use his/her knowledge towards the environment around them. Also, they are assessed based on their personality and officer-like qualities.
Skill Test
The last stage is the skill test. Mostly, the skill test is conducted for Group C and Group D posts if required. In this stage, aspirants have to showcase their skills required for the post such as shorthand, typing speed and others as required.

Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) was established on October 30, 1972. The commission was set up under the provision of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was appointed as the first chairman of the TPSC and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the TPSC. The Commission is currently located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.
