WB SET Result 2024 – The result of the West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) 2024, which was conducted on 17 December 2023, is going to be declared online. The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) conducts the WB SET for the posts of Assistant Professor in West Bengal. How to Check WB SET 2024 Result?
The candidates can follow the following steps to check the WB SET 2024 result:
1st step: Visit the official website, wbcsc.org.in.
2nd step: Now, click on the WB SET Result Link available on the homepage. Click on the “Applicant Login” option placed on the right side of the home page.
3rd step: Aspirants are redirected to WB SET login page. Enter the username and password and click on the Login button on the window as shown below.
4th step: Click on Result and download the result page for future reference. The e-certificates for the qualified can also be downloaded as per the schedule.
WB SET 2024 Result Compilation
The WB SET 2024 result is prepared based on the aggregate candidates’ scores in both the papers of the WB SET 2024 exam. The marks obtained by the candidates are, in turn, calculated using the marking scheme.
WB SET 2024 Score Calculation: The score is calculated using the WB SET 2024 answer key and the marking scheme. Add 2 marks for every correct answer. No marks will be deducted for wrong answers or unattempted questions.
WB SET 2024 Minimum Qualifying Eligibility: Only the candidates who have given both- Paper 1&2 of WB SET 2024 are considered for qualifying eligibility. The candidates have to score the following aggregate in both the papers combined to be considered for the eligibility for Assistant Professor posts –

WB SET 2024 Cut-Off and Slot Calculation: The cut-off for SET will be decided according to the total no. of slots available and the aggregate marks obtained in both the papers of WB SET 2024. The total no. of qualified candidates and slots for eligibility for assistant professor posts will be equal to 6% of the total no. of candidates who appeared for WB SET 2024. Thes slots will be further divided according to the West Bengal reservation policy.

WB SET 2024 Selection Procedure
After the candidates receive their e-certificates, they can apply for the posts of Assistant Professor for their respective subjects in the institutions of West Bengal as per the vacancies. The further selection procedure will be based on the regulations set by the Board. The available vacancies are also generally posted at the WBCSC websites- wbcsconline.in and wbcsc.org.in.
