Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce of a recognized University or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Membership of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India or MBA/PGDM, specialization in finance or equivalent to post graduation degree in Finance under 2 (Two) years full time regular course approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Age: Not more than 36 years as on January 01, 2019 (i.e. born not earlier than January 02, 1982).

Concession in age: WBPSC provides some relaxation in upper age limit which is by 5 years for S.C. & S.T. candidates and by 3 years for B.C. candidates. In the case of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is up to 45 years.

Note: No relaxation is applicable to S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates of other States as they shall be treated as general candidates. The age limits is applicable to all candidates whether in Government Service or not.

Application Form

The applications for the West Bengal Audit and Accounts Services Exam 2019 is going to be available online on the official website of WBPSC i.e., pscwbonline.gov.in. The candidates are required to submit the application form by online mode only. Candidates are required to complete a One Time Registration after which they can apply for the recruitment.

Exam Pattern

Medium of Examination: Answer to all the questions are compulsory & one must write answers to the questions either in English or Bengali language, expect the language paper.

Stages of Examination:

Preliminary Examination- Which is objective or MCQ based type examination.
Mains Examination- Which is conventional type examination followed by a personality test.
Medical Examination- Candidates who get selected for appointment will have to appear for a medical examination conducted by the commission.

Exam Center

The WBPSC Audits and Accounts Exam 2019 is to be conducted in the two stages i.e., prelims & mains & both the examination is to be conducted in the various centers of Kolkata & Darjeeling only. Candidates who belongs to Kalimpong district and three hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling district, i.e., Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling centre only. The main examination is to be held in the Kolkata city only. Personality test of WBPSC Audits and Accounts Exam 2019 is to be conducted by the commission in the office of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, in Kolkata.

Candidates shortlisted after the application process have to appear in the Preliminary Exam. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed for giving the Main Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Main Examination will be called to appear the Personality Test. Candidates who will be selected for appointment will be required to appear before a Medical Board for certificates of their fitness for Government service in the form prescribed for the purpose.
