About APSET 

Andhra Pradesh state eligibility test or APSET exam is held every year statewide by the Andhra university, Visakhapatnam. This eligibility test is conducted to recruit assistant professors and lecturers in colleges within the state of Andhra Pradesh. Those who qualify APSET can also find work as research fellowships are also awarded based on qualifying in APSET. The exam has two stages – Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are mandatory and their aggregate marks will be taken as APSET score of the candidate. General category candidates need a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgender categories will get a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks i.e., they need a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate for both papers to qualify.
