APSET 2022 Exam Pattern
Candidates must be well aware of the exam pattern and syllabus if they wish to qualify in APSET 2022. The exam pattern is the blueprint as to how the examination will be conducted. In this section of the article we will discuss the mark distribution and mode, duration and format of examination
- Mode of exam: Offline
- Duration of exam: 60 minutes for Paper I and 120 minutes for Paper II
- Type of questions: Multiple choice questions with each question there will be four alternatives
- Total marks: 100 marks for Paper I and 200 marks for Paper II
- Number of questions: 50 questions in Paper I and 100 questions in Paper II
- Marking scheme : two marks for every correct answer and no negative marking

About APSET
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam conducts Andhra Pradesh state eligibility test or APSET exam every year. This test is held statewide to recruit assistant professors in colleges within the state of Andhra Pradesh. Those who qualify for APSET can also work as a research fellow as well. The exam is conducted in two stages namely Paper I and Paper-II. Both papers are compulsory and the aggregate of marks scored in both of the papers are taken as qualifying marks. Candidates belonging to the general category need a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and those candidates who belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgender categories will get a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks i.e., they need a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate for both papers to qualify.
