APSET 2018 held on July 01, 2018. Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test notification 2018 has released by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam. Interested and eligible candidates were invited to apply online in the prescribed timeline. Online application form of APSET 2018 submitted on time with requisite fees. Candidates who are interested to fill the application form could fill the same by visiting the official website, the Application form was available online at the official website. Before filling the application form, candidates must ensure their eligibility. The qualified candidates were eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state from where they have cleared their SET.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examinations from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for qualifying the test only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination OR equivalent with at least 55% marks(50% marks in case of BC / SC / ST / PWD (persons with disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their P.G degree examination within one year from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by September 19, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test.
Application Form has been released online. In order to fill the application form, candidates have to pay application fee through Credit card / Debit card / Net banking. Eligible Candidates who wish to apply for APSET- 2018 may submit their applications through online mode (apset.net.in). Candidates must submit the application form on or before its last date.
APSET 2018 Hall Ticket
Candidates can download hall ticket before the exam. Andhra University released APSET 2018 Hall Ticket few days prior to Examination day. No hall ticket has been sent to the candidates by post. The candidates should download their hall ticket from the website to ascertain their venue of APSET Examination as mentioned in the Hall Ticket and appear in the examination only at the designated examination center. No candidate was allowed to appear at the examination centre other than that allotted to him/her in the Hall Ticket.
The question paper – I which is common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper – II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) political Science f) Public administration g) Sociology and h) Social work will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only.

- Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.
- Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
- The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I and Paper – II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
