CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020 is inviting applications to 1412 vacancies for both male and female candidates. The posts are temporary in nature but are likely to become permanent. The detailed distribution of the vacancies can be checked below.

CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates already serving as Constables (General Duty/ Bugler/ Mali/ Painter) are eligible to apply for the posts. The minimum eligibility conditions for recruitment are specified as below.
Age limit
The maximum age of the candidates is fixed at 32 years as on August 01, 2019. Any applicable relaxations are as per the governmental norms for SC/ST candidates.
Educational qualification
The CRPF specifies the minimum educational qualification for the applicants. The applicants must have passed 10 + 2 from a recognized board or university.
Service eligibility
Candidates applying for the post must have completed 04 years of service. In addition, these candidates must also have the basic training completed. Candidates whose service period extends beyond 4 years are eligible for weightage of marks. The marks weightage scheme can be checked below.

Physical Standards
The applicants must comply with specified physical standards to be eligible for recruitment. The physical standards can be checked below.

Medical category
All applicants are required to comply with the minimum medical category of SHAPE-I to apply. The candidates must also be in the same category of SHAPE -I during final appointment. Candidates who are declared temporary unfit are not accepted for recruitment.
Background
Candidates must have an impeccable/unblemished service record supported by good ACRs. The candidates must also have APAR of the last 04 years or more. Service record is not considered as “impeccable” if the candidate has been awarded any major/minor penalty under relevant sections of the CRPF Rules. Candidates with NQS with punishment or punished in Orderly Room are also considered under faulty records. Any warnings received by the candidates are not considered under blemished records.
Number of attempts
Candidates are allowed a specified number of chances to qualify in the selection process. Only 03 chances are allowed for CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020.

Stage I (Written Examination)
The first stage of selection is the written examination consisting of MCQ type questions. The duration of the written test is 3 hours duration. The standard of the question paper is as per the 10 + 2 academic level. Candidates securing the specified minimum qualifying marks in the written test are allowed to appear in the subsequent tests for selection.
Stage II (Physical measurement)
Candidates are required to comply with the specified physical measurements in this stage. Candidates who qualify in the written examination are evaluated for their physical measurements. Stage III (Physical efficiency test PET)
Candidates qualifying in the written exam and having the specified minimum physical measurements are eligible for evaluation through the physical efficiency test (PET) in this stage. Stage IV (Testimonial)

Stage V (Medical Examination)
The candidates qualifying in the stage of written test, physical standards, physical efficiency test and testimonial checking must appear for a medical examination. Candidates are awarded either the “fit” or “unfit” certificates at this stage. Candidates must earn the “fit” certificate to qualify in the medical examination stage.
Stage VI (Merit List)
The final stage is the drawing of merit lists for qualifying candidates. Separate merit lists for each category (general/SC/ST) are prepared. Merit lists are developed based on the performance in the written test, weightage for years of service and weightage for achievements in course and sports. The candidates must secure an aggregate of 220 marks altogether to qualify for the final merit list.

The written examination is conducted at the designated examination center. The question paper consists of 160 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for the selection tests are sent by post to the candidate. Candidates must, however, enclose the filled up admit card proforma with the application. The admit card is sent by the CRPF through the self-addressed envelopes with affixed postage stamps. Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination center without the issued admit card. The candidates must also ensure to carry a government-issued photo identity proof along with the admit card. The OMR answer sheets are double scanned and evaluated. Requests for re-evaluation of the answer sheets is not entertained. The B.O.O at the Nodal GC scrutinises the answer key before uploading. CRPF Head Constable Recruitment 2020 Result
The final selection of the candidates is made on the basis of the examination, weightage score and the qualifying tests.
