Notification For GPSC Recruitment 2021
The Commission, releases a document containing all the detailed information relevant to particular recruitment before it is conducted. It contains, apart from other details, the procedure to apply for the recruitment, explanation of the selection procedure and exam scheme and pattern. Such a document is known as the official notification and it conventionally bears an unique serial number.
Applications For GPSC Recruitment 2021
The Commission conventionally conducts an online application process for recruitment events. Prior to applications, candidates must check eligibility from the official notification of the corresponding recruitment. Furthermore, there is a fee involved that must be paid by the candidates unless they are specifically exempted as per government norms.
The application process is simple and conducted over the official website gpsc.gujarat.gov.in. An email ID and a mobile number is required to register online at the website following which the candidate can apply for different recruitment. Once registered, candidates must preserve the login details as it is required in later stages such as to download the admit card.
Note: A process called application form correction may be conducted for specific recruitment events after the application window closes. The aim is to offer a chance to make rectifications in the application form.
Admit Cards For GPSC Recruitment 2021
For any and all recruitment examination/selection test of the GPSC, the Commission releases the admit card around a week or two before the exam date. One must note that this admit card is an important piece of document that must be carried to the exam center to be allowed to take the exam. Furthermore, only the admit card, issued by the Commission in the candidate’s name is valid and accepted and it must be downloaded from the official website only.
Once the application window closes, the Commission releases the GPSC admit card through the official website. One must note that the admit card is not sent by the Commission to the applicants unless it is specifically mentioned or informed. In addition to the admit card, for the verification of identity of the candidate, one must also carry a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhar card, Voter identity card etc to the exam center as well.
Answer Key of GPSC Recruitment 2021 Exam
The Commission releases the official answer keys through the website after the conduct of the exam. However, the answer key is only published for those papers which contain objective type questions. Preliminary screening examinations as such, which consist of the objective type question papers are considered for the release of answer keys after the exam is conducted.
The answer keys are released in two phases i.e. the provisional and the final answer keys. At first, the provisional answer keys are released and candidates are allowed to challenge the answers provided in the answer key. This is allowed only for a specified period of time and candidates must back up any challenge with proper academic evidence. Furthermore, if there is a fee involved, candidates must also pay the same through the official website during the objection raising process.
The final answer keys are released only after the authorities have reviewed all challenges and made necessary rectifications in the provisional answer keys. Candidates cannot challenge the final answer keys as the results of the examination are always compiled on the basis of the final answer keys.
Results of GPSC Recruitment 2021 Exams
The Commission releases the results of different exams conducted for recruitmenmt at the official website only and candidates can check the results after the release of the final answerr keys. Althouygh, this is the conventional sequence of events leadoingh to te release of the results, the Commission can also release the results alomng with the final answerr keys on the same day in some cases.
Candidates who appear for a particular recruitment exam can check the results directly from the official website by clicking on the relevant link to download the result. For different recruitment events, it is released in the form of a merit list of selected candidates who either become eligible for the next stage of selection test or for the final appointment. Before final appointment, a document verification stage is however conducted where the qualifiers have to produce the original documents and testimonials.
Key Functions Of GPSC
According to Article 320 of the Constitution of India, subsequent functions were entrusted to the Gujarat Public Service Commission.
- Performing exams for admission to the state services.
- To advise on matters relating to recruitment methods for various State civil services
- The criteria to be followed in making appointments to the State’s civil services and in awarding promotions transfers from one department to another and candidates ‘ suitability for such assignments, promotions, and transfers.
- All disciplinary matters which affect government officials.
- The demands of compensation of legal expenses incurred by Public Servants in defense of themselves in legal proceedings brought against them for the act done or claimed to have been performed by them while carrying out their duties.
- The claims for granting Public Servants injury-pensions; and
- Any other matters which His Excellency the Governor can bring to the Commission.

As the state level public service commission of the Indian state of Gujarat, the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducts various recruitment events for various departments of the state government.
