Gujarat HC District Judge Recruitment 2020 Exam Scheme & Pattern
The examination for the recruitment of District Judge in Gujarat High Court is conducted in two stages namely the preliminary and main exam. The detailed pattern of both exams can be checked below.
Preliminary exam
- Language: The question paper is set in English
- Exam mode: The exam is to be conducted offline (on OMR sheets)
- Sections: There are two papers in the preliminary exam.
- Type of questions: All questions are MCQ type
- Duration: The total duration for each paper is 02 hours.
Main exam
- Language: The language of the question paper is English
- Exam mode: The exam is conducted offline i.e. on pen and paper.
- Sections: There are two parts of the exam namely Paper I & II.
- Type of questions: The questions are all descriptive type.
- Duration: The total duration of the exam is 03 hours for each paper.

Gujarat HC District Judge Recruitment 2020 Admit Card
High Court of Gujarat releases the admit card for the examination. The admit cards are released through the website of the high court as per schedule. Candidates must monitor the website to know when the admit card is released. These are not sent by the High Court to individual candidates. Candidates must note that a hard copy of the admit card along with photo identity is mandatory to appear in the examination.

The High Court of Gujarat has announced the opening in 34 number of total vacancies. Applications can be submitted by those candidates meeting the specified minimum eligibility conditions as per the notification. Age limit
All candidates must be at least 35 years old to be eligible to apply. The maximum age of the applicants must not be 48 years i.e. candidates must not have attained the maximum upper age. The High Court, however, allows relaxations in the maximum age for a specific category of candidates as indicated below.

- Applicants must have a degree in law
- Aplicants must have been in continuous practice for at least a period of 07 years as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and/or Criminal jurisdiction.
- All applicants are also required to have the fundamental knowledge of computer application/operation.

How to apply

Step 1: Go to the website of the Gujarat High Court at gujarathighcourt.nic.in
Step 2: Click on “HC OJAS Site” as shown in the image below.

Step 3: Click on “Apply Now” from the drop down menu under Job application. Refer image below.

Step 4: Again click on the “Apply” tab for the relevant recruitment as show in the image below.

Step 5: Enter all dertails including payment mode and click on “Save” at the end of the application form.

Step 6: Click on Print Application/Pay Fee tab at the top of the page to pay the fees and print out the application form.
Step 7: After successful payment of fees, candidates must submit the application by clicking on the “Confirm Application” tab and completing the details.

Note: For offline payment through SBI Branch, candidates must generate print out of Challan and make the payment at nearest SBI Branch.

Gujarat HC District Judge Recruitment 2020 Selection Procedure
Eligible applicants are to be selected through three stages of selection. The first two stages are in the form of written/online examination. The final stage is a personal interview. Check out the description of each stage below.
Preliminary exam
The preliminary exam is conducted for 200 marks and it consist of 02 papers. The question paper is objective and the questions are asked from English, GK and Law.
Note: Candidates who have not passed Secondary and Higher Secondary exam with Gujarati as a abuject have to take a third paper on Gujarati language.
Main exam
The main exam is desciptive type anbd is for a 200 marks in total. There are two papers in the main exam which is based on law.
Personal interview
Candidates qualifying in the main examination by securing the minimum qualifying marks are eligible for the personal interview stage. The test carries a total mark of 50.
