Overview of KTET Exam
Kerala Teacher eligibility test is a state-level examination conducted by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan. The exam is conducted twice every year for the candidates to have maximum access to the exam. KTET is divided into 4 categories. Candidates shall apply for the exam accordingly. Candidates can apply for the exam online through the official KTET website ktet.kerala.gov.in. KTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has kept eligibility criteria for the candidates to apply for the KTET exam. Candidates meeting those criteria are eligible to apply for the exam.
Here are the prescribed eligibility criteria for the KTET 2022 examination
Category I
- 45% marks in 12th or its equivalent and T.T.C/ D.Ed/ DL.Ed
or - 45% marks in 12 or its equivalent and 2-year diploma in elementary education
or - 50% marks in 12 or its equivalent and B.El.Ed
or - 50% marks in 12 or its equivalent and 2-year diploma in Education(special education)
Category II
- BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc and 2-year diploma in Elementary education/ T.T.C/ D.Ed/ D.L.Ed
or - 45% in BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc and B.Ed/ D.L.Ed
or - 50% marks in 12 or its equivalent and B.El.Ed
or - 50% marks in 12 or its equivalent and BA.ED/ B.Sc.ED
Category III
- 45% in BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com and B.Ed in the same degree
or - 50% in mathematics/ physics/ chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology and M.Sc.Ed in the same degree
or - 45% in BA or its equivalent and LTTC/ D.LEd
Category IV
- Specialization in Urdu/ Arabic/ Sanskrit/ Hindi for Upper primary level teaching
Or - Qualifications as per the Kerala education department act & rules chapter XXXI for Physical education teachers
KTET 2022 Application Form
Candidates can submit KTET application form as per schedule through an online application.
- The application form shall be available on the official KTET website ktet.kerala.gov.in.
- To be able to apply for the KTET examinations, candidates should meet the eligibility criteria put forward by the conducting body.

KTET 2022 Admit Card
The admit card for the KTET 2022 releases as per schedule by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan on their official KTET website ktet.kerala.gov.in. KTET Certificate
The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan awards those eligible candidates who have secured the minimum amount of qualifying marks in the KTET exam with the KTET certificate.

- Eligible candidates receives their KTET certificate after this verification process.
- The validity of the KTET certificate, which used to be for 7 years, has been extended to a period of a lifetime by the ministry of education.
