Pay Scale :
- Medical Officer – 9300/- 34,800/- + Grade pay of Rs. 5400/-
- Dental Surgeon – 9300/- 34,800/- + Grade pay of Rs. 5400/-
Educational Qualification : Candidate must posses Medical/Dental qualification.
Age Limit : Candidate’s age must be between 21 to 38 years of age
- General & OBC – Rs. 300/-
- SC & ST – 150/-
Selection Process : Selection will be done on the basis of written exam and Interview
Education qualification for Medical Officer
- Candidates must possess Medical qualification which included in the first or Second schedule, or part-II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Act, 1957.
- Should have completed rotating Internship.
Education qualification for Dental Surgeon
- Candidates must possess dental qualifications in the first or third schedule to the Indian Dentist Act, 1948 as amended from time to time.
- Registration with a State Dental Council.
Age limit: Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years as on 8th December 2017. Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & by 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for differently abled persons.
Medical Officer: The written examination will be of 3 hours and there will be 200 multiple choice questions in the examination. Each correct answer will earn 1 mark whereas each incorrect answer will reduce the total by 05 marks.
Minimum qualifying exam: minimum qualifying marks required to be called for interview
- Unreserved – 40%
- OBC/(M)/(MP)/(TNB) – 35%
- ST/SC – 30%.
Dental Surgeon: The written examination will be of 2 hours duration during which the candidates would be expected to answer 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ). The duration of the examination can be changed based on the advice of the Experts with prior information to all candidates. Each correct answer will earn 1 mark whereas each incorrect answer will reduce the total by 0.5 mark. No defined syllabus has been prescribed for the examination.
Distribution of MCQ’s in the written examination for Medical Officer
Candidates will be selected on the basis of there performance in the written exam. Candidates who qualifies the Written exam will be called for next stage of exam which is an interview. The final merit list of the candidates would be based on the total marks written and interview marks.
