Candidates must ensure their eligibility standards before filling the Ordnance Factory Board Apprentice Recruitment 2020 application form. You can see detailed eligibility from the below:
Age Limit: Candidate who is between 15 to 24 years as on February 9, 2020, are eligible. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given in the below table:

Education Qualification:
- For Non-ITI Category: Candidates must have class 10th certificate with 50% marks in aggregate(all subjects) and 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.
- For ITI Category: Candidates must have a trade test certificate from any recognized institute and also passing certificate of class 10th (minimum 50% aggregate marks both in matriculate and ITI).

Ordnance Factory Board Apprentice Recruitment 2020 Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidate is done on the basis of the merit list. For the Non-ITI and Ex-ITI category, merit list is released separately by the officials.
- The merit list of the Non-ITI category is prepared factory wise on the basis of the aggregate percentage of marks in class 10th. The trades are allotted to the Non-ITI category on the Merit-cum-choice basis after selection.
- The merit list for the Ex-ITI category is prepared factory wise and trade wise. Based on average percentage of marks both in class 10th and ITI (minimum 50% in aggregate in each).
According to vacancies, the selection list is prepared. After that, selected candidates are called for document verification. In the document verification round, all the documents of the candidates are verified by the authority.
After document verification, the medical examination is conducted by respective Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factory. Date, time and venue of medical examination is communicated separately by that factory only. The candidates who have passed in the medical examination are considered for further process of Trade Apprentices engagement.
Tie Breaking: In the case of the two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age is given preference. If the date of birth is also the same then the candidates who have passed matriculation examination earlier are considered first. If the year of the passing is also the same then the candidate name in alphabetical order is considered first.
Ordnance Factory Board Apprentice Recruitment 2020 Stipend
The stipend per month is paid to the trade apprentices is according to the rules mentioned in the act. Candidates can see the below table to know about the stipend:
During 1 year of training | 70% of min wages to semi-skilled workers |
During 2 year of training | 80% of min wages to semi-skilled workers |
During 3 year of training | 90% of min wages to semi-skilled workers |
No other allowances are paid during the entire period of the apprenticeship training.
