Documents to be Attached Along with Application Form
- 10th pass/Matriculation certificate/Birth Certificate issued by the concerned education board/Concerned Authority as proof of date of birth. No other document will be accepted for verification of date of birth.
- Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets & Graduation Degree/ITI Pass certificate in respective Discipline.
- Conversion Certificate/Formula issued by University/College (If only CGPA/Grades are mentioned in Mark sheets).
- SC/ST/OBC/Disability certificates by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority. OBC non-creamy layer status should be valid and OBC certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be the latest one.
- Copy of Aadhar Card.
- Copy of PAN Card.

Note: The applicant must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates and 40% marks in aggregate in case of SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC & PwBD (in identified trades) will be applicable as per the Govt. of India prescribed percentage for recruitment.
Duration of contract for Apprenticeship shall be 12 months for all trades mentioned above.
Age Criteria
A candidate must be of 18 years minimum as on 05.08.2019. The maximum age limit for the candidates is as below:

Concession & Relaxation:
- Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for the trades reserved for them.
- Candidates belonging to PwBD categories shall be given age relaxation up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates).

Selection Procedure
Selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on the basis of marks obtained in the minimum prescribed qualification and Merit drawn thereon. In case of a similar number in merit, a person with higher age would be considered.
Verification of Documents
The physical verification of the original documents shall be done prior to joining on a specific date. An intimation of selection will be sent through SMS once the selection is completed. The following original documents along with a self-attested copy should be furnished:

Emoluments/Consideration
The apprentices are eligible for a monthly stipend during their period of engagement which is subject to the periodic revision in minimum wages as applicable to a particular location.
The trainee is not eligible for any TA-DA/Boarding or Lodging expenses incurred during the period of training. ONGC will not provide any transportation facility or any financial assistance towards transportation at the time of document verification/joining or during the period of training.

General Instructions
- Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of eligibility criteria and selection modalities before submission of application.
- The candidates should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship either in ONGC or in any other organization, earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprentices Act,1961.
- Candidates, who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of these qualifications, shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as Apprentices.
- ONGC shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices during and/or after the completion of the apprenticeship period. After successful completion of the Apprenticeship period, candidates shall be relieved from the respective work area without any notice. Further, the Apprentices shall not have any right to be considered for recruitment against any regular employment in preference to other candidates in case ONGC wishes to make regular employment against any vacancies at any time during or after completion of the Apprenticeship period.
- Candidates having higher/professional qualification of Graduate and above Degree in Engineering, Degrees of MCA, MBA or its equivalent, 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing/Finance/Human Resource/MSW/Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, CA/ICWA, Master’s Degree in Journalism/Public Relations & Mass Communication, PhD, LL.B. and any other Graduate and above professional qualification, need not apply as they have higher qualifications than the prescribed qualifications for the advertised seats.
- The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials.
- The decision of Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full, higher qualification etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
