OPSC has postponed all ongoing recruitment exams/viva voices scheduled to be held onwards March 2020. The impact was taken directly by the viva rounds of the recruitment which was scheduled to be held on March 24 onwards. The Commission is conducting the event for the recruitment of civil engineers and mechanical engineers in 386 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer in Odisha Engineering Services. OPSC AEE Rejection Notice
On preliminary scrutiny of the information based on the online applications for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer, the candidature of 58 candidates have been rejected for the reason of application fees not paid.

Result of OPSC AEE 2020
The final result of OPSC AEE 2020 is declared after the viva test on the official website of OPSC. The result is a merit list of all the shortlisted candidates. It is prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the written exam and the interview. The cut-off marks will be decided by OPSC only and candidates must score the least marks specified in the cut-off to be shortlisted in the merit lists. The cut-off for all the categories however vary and is released with the final results. Candidates must check the official website for updates. Selection Procedure of OPSC AEE 2020
Following is the selection procedure for OPSC AEE recruitment 2020 that consists of a written exam and a final viva test.
1.Written Exam: The first step to OPSC AEE 2020 recruitment is a 3-hour objective type written exam. There are 2 papers and 180 questions in each paper. Each correct answer carries 1 marks and the wrong answer deducts -0.25 marks each. The written test has 90% weightage in preparation of the merit list.
2. Viva Test: The Commission conducts the viva test after the written examination for qualifiers only. The viva carries 40 marks and bears 10% weightage in the preparation of the merit list.

The vacant posts are in the Water Resources department of Government of Odisha under the Odisha Engineering Service for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical and Civil). (B) AEE Mechanical Engineering:
The is 1 post reserved for Blindness/ Low vision candidates who have sports quota.
Note: There is also 1% reservation for women with disabilities.
Also one third of the posts reserved for sports person will be given to women.
Admit Card for OPSC AEE 2020
Admit card is the major verification document for entering the exam center or for appearing in the interview. It is available on the official website of OPSC after completion of the application process. Candidates will need a registration number to download the admit card. The candidates should carry photo ID proof such as aadhaar card, PAN card, or voter ID proof with the admit card to the exam center. Admit cards are not sent to the candidate individually via mail or post. The e-admit card is not accepted at the exam center thus one must print out the admit card are carry the hard copy. The candidates must keep the admit card securely with them till the date of joining the post. Separate admit cards are issued for the written exam and the interview.
Exam Pattern of OPSC AEE 2020
The exam pattern refers to the marking scheme, duration of the exam, and distribution of marks. The examination consists of two phases: Objective type written test and viva test. Check below the pattern for Objective type written-test:
Mode of examination: The exam is a written pen-paper test
Duration: Exam will be held in 3 hours
No. of questions: Question paper will consist of 180 questions.
Type of questions: The questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type only.
Marking Scheme: Each right answer will be awarded 1 marks each and there will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. No mark will be deducted for unattended questions.

Examination Notice for OPSC AEE 2020

Application Procedure of OPSC AEE 2020
Eligible candidates must visit the official website of OPSC for registering for the post of OPSC AEE 2020. A candidate must upload a scanned colored photograph, full signature, and thumb impression in the application form. Only after successfully submitting the application form, the candidate will receive their unique registration ID and password. The candidates are advised to submit one application at a time otherwise the application of higher registration id will be entertained by the Odisha commission.

Application fee: Along with the application form, candidates have to deposit a requisite fee amount without which the registration would not be complete. Candidates have to pay a fee of 500/-. There is no fee charges for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST of Odisha / PwD (whose disability is 40% and more).
Mode of Payment: The fees can not be paid in any mode except SBI e-challan.
Eligibility Conditions of OPSC AEE 2020
The eligibility criteria is set up Odisha Public Service Commission. The candidates have to meet following eligibility criteria to appear for the post of OPSC AEE (Mechanical and Civil):
Educational Qualification for OPSC AEE 2020:
- A candidate must be a graduate in Mechanical/Civil engineering
OR - have an equivalent qualification from any University or Institution recognized by the Government
OR - the candidate must be a member of the Institutions of Engineers of India in civil or mechanical.
Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate should be of 21 years and not more than 32 years. However, there is age relaxation for some categories.

Other Eligibility Conditions :
- A candidate must read, speak and write the language of Odia. Hence, he must have:
- Odia as language in 8th class
- passed 10th class with Odia as a language
- cleared 12th class with Odia as language for non-language subjects
- If a candidate was debarred by OPSC or any state commission he or she will not be eligible to appear for OPSC AEE 2020.
- A candidate should possess a good moral character free from defection or bodily infirmity.
- Government servants are allowed for this exam after having NOC certificate from their respective department.
- There will be a medical examination of the candidates after getting qualified. The candidates must qualify that to get job offer.

Following are the general instruction for the applicants of OPSC AEE written exam:
- Any candidate found seeking support by offering illegal gratification will be disqualified from the exam and criminal prosecution for the same will be held against him.
- Any incomplete application form will not be accepted for registration.
- The advertisement brochure doesn’t bind the government to provide job to any person.
- The reservation for SC/ST/OBC born candidates will be applicable only for the residents of Odisha.
- Any wrong information given in the application form will invalidate the form and the candidate with such form will be liable for penalty as well.
