OTET 2021 – The admit card of OTET 2021 has been issued at bseodisha.nic.in. OTET 2021 is scheduled to take place on April 09, 2021. Earlier, Board Of Secondary Education, Odisha has also released the notification for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) on the official website. The examination for OTET is conducted for teaching aspirants. Those candidates who wish to be a teacher of class I to V have to qualify paper 1. Similarly, those who wish to teach class VI to VIII must qualify Paper 2 of the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test. Overview of OTET 2021

Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. The examination is conducted every year as an eligibility test for the applicants for the appointment of Class I to Class VIII teacher in government, private schools of the Odisha.

Those candidates who have qualified class 12th or graduation can apply for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test. There are 02 papers in Odisha TET exam – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for those who wish to be a teacher of class I to class V. For class VI to class VIII teacher, Paper 2 is organized.

  1. Candidates who are eligible for Paper II are not eligible to apply for Paper I.
  2. Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test exam does not guarantee jobs/employment to the eligible candidates. It is only an eligibility examination that serves as the eligibility for the appointment of the teachers.

OTET 2021 Admit Card

Those candidates who have successfully submitted the application form for Odisha TET 2021 are issued admit cards. Visit the official website and download OTET 2021 admit card. Read on to know about the OTET 2021 hall ticket:

  • To get OTET admit card, visit bseodisha.nic.in.
  • BSE, Odisha releases the admit card through login. Candidates must keep their registration number and email ID ready to download Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test hall ticket.
  • Examination centre and timings for the exam is provided through OTET admit card.
  • Carry OTET admit card 2021, photo identity card to the exam centres.

Preparation Tips for Odisha TET 2021

To prepare for the teacher eligibility test, candidates must start their preparation understanding the syllabus and examination pattern. Know the important topics of the syllabus, weightage of different section, marking scheme, time duration and everything about the examination.

Once a candidate is done with syllabus, they can prepare their study plan. Create strategies through which complete syllabus gets covered and candidates get time for practising papers. Do not overburden with multiple topics in a single day. Divide them such a way that each topic/ concept gets equal time and is prepared completely.

Odisha TET previous year question papers help in better understanding of the examination vicinity. The type of questions that are asked in the examination, some important sections from the syllabus that are asked can be known through previous year papers. OTET 2021 Exam Pattern

The examinations of Odisha TET is divided into two papers –

  • Paper 1 for Primary Level Teacher (class I to class V)
  • Paper 2 for Upper Primary Teacher (class VI to class VIII)

Here is the scheme of examination for both Paper 1 and Paper2 which candidates may refer for preparation:

Paper 1 Exam Pattern:

  • Multiple choice questions are asked in the Paper 1.
  • There will be 04 alternatives out of which one will be correct.
  • Each question of Paper 1 carries 01 mark and there is no negative marking.
  • Check the distribution of marks and number of questions amongst different subjects below:

Paper 2 Exam Pattern:

OTET 2021 Eligibility

Candidates who possess the below educational qualification and fulfils the other mentioned eligibility criteria can fill Odisha TET application.

Nationality and Nativity

Candidate must be an Indian moreover must be a domicile of Odisha.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for OTET.

Educational Qualification

Category A (Paper-1)

  • 12th standard or it’s equivalent with minimum 50% marks and 02-year Diploma in Elementary education (CT or D.El.Ed)
  • OR
  • 12th pass or it’s equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and 02-year Diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE
  • OR
  • 12th or it’s equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 04 years of Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR
  • 12th pass it’s equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks ad 02-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • OR
  • Graduation with 02 years of Diploma in elementary education
  • OR
  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed in accordance with NCTE

Category-B (Paper II)

  • Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
  • Or
  • Graduation and 02-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR
  • Graduation with minimum of 45% marks and 01-year bachelor in education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE
  • OR
  • Graduation with 50% marks and 01-year B.ed (Special Education)

OTET 2021 Application Form

BSE releases the application form for OTET 2021 on the official website. Candidates have to visit the official website and fill up OTET application form 2021. Here are the steps to help candidates in Odisha TET 2021 apply online.

How to apply?

  • Visit the official website of BSE Odisha and register. Hit ‘click here for new registration’ and start the registration process.
  • Proceed to apply for Odisha TET application by entering basic details personal details.
  • Click on ‘save and next’ and process for the next round.
  • Upload the documents and hit the save and next button again.
  • The last step is to pay the required application fee and submit the OTET application form 2021.

  • Candidates have to pay Odisha TET application fee through online mode through net banking, ATM card.
  • Payment done with the offline mode is also accepted. Candidates can pay the application fee through offline mode using bank challan. For offline payment, DU reference number is required before payment.

After the commencement of the examination, OTET 2021 answer key releases. To get Odisha TET answer key, candidates have to visit the official website, bseodisha.nic.in.

  • Answer key and Scoring Keys can be downloaded from the official website of BSE, Odisha bseodisha.nic.in.
  • OTET answer key 2021 has the correct answers to the questions based on the exam.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 answer keys release in PDF format.
  • Candidates can use OTET 2021 Paper 1 and Paper 2 answer key to predict their scores before the result.
  • In case is any incorrect objections against the answer, it can be challenged through the online process.
  • Applicants have to pay Rs.500/- per questions to challenge the answer sheet.

OTET 2021 Result

BSE, Odisha declares the result for Odisha TET 2021 through an online process. Candidates can check their result by visiting the official website of BSE, Odisha, bseodisha.nic.in.

  • OTET 2021 result releases through login.
  • Applicants must log in and check the marks secured in Paper 1/Paper 2 and their status of whether they have qualified for the exam or not.
  • Candidates have to secure a minimum of 60% marks (that is a minimum of 90 marks out of 150 marks) to qualify.
  • Those who qualify for OTET 2021 gets a TET eligibility certificate.

Odisha TET Certificate

Board of Secondary Education, Odisha provides TET certificate to those candidates who are able to qualify the examination. Here are a few points explaining the importance and validity of TET certificate.

  • TET certificate serves as the eligibility for the appointment of teachers in various government, private schools.
  • A candidate who has already acquired the certificate can also appear for Odisha TET exam to improve the marks.
  • Validity: NCTE has recently extended the validity period of TET certificates. So, from now onwards, candidates who qualify the TET exam can use for TET certificate for a period of a lifetime. This changes also imply on Odisha TET.

Ans 1: Candidates have to secure minimum 60% marks in the examination to qualify OTET.
